Apex Boost Control Kit picture
I couldn't remember if anyone had ever posted a picture of what you get with the Apex Boost Control Kit so here you go!
This pic shows solenoid, 3 bar MAP, wiring harness for stock MAP (used as atmospheric pressure sensor for PowerFC), and misc hardware. There is also some vacuum tubing that I didn't include a picture for since we all know what that looks like.

Hi. I'm almost done installing a T04E single turbo kit and I'm trying to decide on a boost controller. The guys at XS Engineering recommended the Apex AVC-R or the Apex add-on boost control kit since I'm already running the PowerFC.
Are you still using the Apex boost control kit? Are running the stock twins or did you go single turbo? Do you like the Apex add-on kit. If you were to do it all over again, would you have chosen something else? Thanks for your input.

The link I provided yesterday to Aptivan is NOT going to do anyone any good since they don't have the unit in stock and the West Coast Apexi distributor is also on back order (as they have been for a while).
SRMotorsports (or SRX7.com) has them in stock. They had 4 yesterday but I bought 1 , so now they only have 3.
Also, there has been a rumor around the forum that this unit is not reliable or consistent. The guys at XS Engineering assured me the problem is definitely the user/tuner, NOT the product, because most tuners THINK they know how to dial this unit in but they really don't. I will let you all know my opinion once I've got some drive time with it. I read a post by RotaryExtreme that gives you a step by step of the installation and the adjustments you need to make in the PowerFC.
And lastly, if I were to go with my second choice, it would definitely be the Profec B. Going by the owners' feedback here on the forum, there seems to be a unanimous concensus that the Profec B is the most reliable, consistent and easy to use boost controller.

I've got a Profect B. But I liked the fact that with the Apexi kit you use the stock MAP sensor to use as a ambiant air pressure sensor. And I have read that if you set it up right the PFC can do a good job of boost control. And since I need a 3 BAR anyways I thought I might give the Apexi kit a go.
