Altering emmissions using Apexi FC??!
Brought my Rx7 (1994 twin turbo import) in october last year and firstly would like to say have had no problems and enjoyed every minute.. Apart from the regular fuel stops!!
It was fitted with a fully decatted exhaust, Apexi FC power commander, Blitz inducton kit, hks dump valve, not sure what engine work if any but has been rebuilt.
Anyway it came to the MOT and it kept failing on emmissions.. The dealer rang a rotary specialist who told him to alter a setting on the Apexi power commander.. PIM volt or something? Can anyone help me as want to know what to type in to make it pass MOT again!!
Thanks for your help, scott

I would look for a rotary specialist in your area and speak with them directly on this topic.
YOu will need a cat to pass inspection and you perhaps will need some tuning with the Power FC to help pass. Typically, a tuner would adjust the air/fuel mixture and timing to help pass. However, sometimes the adjustments compromise regular driving by making the mixtures too lean. For that reason it may be best to work directly with the rotary specialist to get this done.

I dont know whether emmission laws are different, should have said im from the UK. Yeah it was literally only a temporary fix to pass the emmissions, think it would have been undrivable. Whats the bit on the power commander i need to alter, do you know?
It definately has no cats and the bit they altered they didnt save so it reset once the ignition was turned off and was back to normal.
Thanks for quick replies by the way, new to rotaries..
