AFR question...need clarification..tuning with DATALOGIT

at any point...to my understanding...there should be NO AFR readings on the datalogit maps that are over 11.5 to 1 afr...should this be true for each and every point within the reading? even shifts? even cruising?

we are tuning my car on the wideband and the datalogit...analyzing this info...gonna make adjustments where necessary...any input is appreciated.

thanks guys....

Afr should be around 13.5 at very light load, around 12 at 0psi, about 11 from 10 psi boost up. And pretty much scaled in between. If you like the way your car runs but just want to tune for power, just concentrate on the boost areas.

The Power FC base maps are reasonably close for most cars with bolt ons, so you might just want to make adjustments with the PIM voltage at higher loads instead of trying to tweak every individual cell in the boost areas.

On the advice of Hitman and Rice and a few others, I pulled some timing out in the peak torque area. For me that is, just under 5000rpm and in all boost cells 15 psi and up. This is the most critical area. I don't remember what the base map calls for here, but I am runnig about 10deg leading at 4700 to 4800rpm at 15psi with a 10 deg split. After that point I believe you can let the advance rise again but I would be careful and make sure your fuel is done 1st.
Artguy, are you having fun yet?!
