99.9% Inj. Duty. wohoo

ahh nothing like hitting 99.9% injector duty at only .92 boost and 7600 rpm, where before I was at 90% with .92 kg/cm2. This air pump removal has opened a can of worms for me. I know this subject came up before with no conclusions. Just thought I woudl throw it out there. air intake temps are contant before and after, same fuel settings. Is there anything besides fuel maps, temp sensors, fuel, air, water. that affects fuel delivery. Maybe problem with injectros themselves? fuel pressure?

Thanks guys

I know it would be alot of work but you could reinstall the air pump and see if it puts things back to normal. That way while you troubleshoot what the problem was your car will still be drivable. Also, if reinstalling the pump doesnt help you know it was prob just coincedence that it started when you removed the pump.

I hate to bring this up but have you done a compression test to rule out a bad apex seal???

Later,
STEPHEN

You probably just never had the right conditions before or just didn't notice 99.9%. If your tuning is in the ballpark, you will hit 100% duty around 14-15psi of boost and near redline. Your airpump had nothing to do with it. Maybe your water temp or air temp was slightly different before and after, as those will make small changes in the fuel delivered.

See my webpage for some fuel stuff, including Power FC specifics and maxxing out the injectors... www.wvinter.net/~flanham/wlanham.

alright guys, here is anohter development. I disabled the o2 function control. remmeber now I haev the inlet pipe to acv sucking air from behind my SMIC. anyway, it seems to be running much better, idle is a little fucked, but i am poulling about 1 more in merc' on vacuum. the car seem sto rev much higher, and 02 readings much more constant around .85 ro .89. where as before the went everywhere. I know there is a hug debate wethere the air pump actually supplies combustable air, or wether it skews the o2 readings. if it were only skewing o2 readings, then I woudl need to richen up idle. but I don't, I have to pull fuel out. conversely, since disabling the 02 function control, car revs faster before 4k, and seems to be running a little leaner(o2 readings), but behaves a litel richer(back firing like normal, etc)

anyway, just htought I would through that into the mix. I am not sure if this woudl relate to the high inj. duty. It is amazing to me to that nobody else has experience bad idling and running when blocking off ACV.

as a sidebar, I tried to tell a differnce when apr switch to PAC on, but couldn't.
