As for the Inconel manifold, Inconel is a nickel-based "super alloy". Pain in the butt to work with. Your manifold is obvioulsy tubular and not cast, so you should drill a hole for each probe and use the provided tube clamps.

If they failed after 1500 miles, it is a defect or some other problem (broken wire, shorts to ground, too much vibration). Hard to imagine two defective probes, so I would suspect another problem until everything else was ruled out.
