Wide Body Rb7 (rx7 W/rb25det Swap)
Found this FD at supraforums, pretty good looking RB7 if you ask me, and impresive craftsmanship. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/new...te=1&p=6641179

and the way I have it, a small hole must be cut in the hood where the timing belt is.

hey zach did you use your stock subframe and just make brackets or just cut yours at were the controll arms bolt up and box that in and weld up a new K member? and is the steering rack stock hight or lowerd? ive got a scoot hood think that would clear? also how well does the shifter line up compared to stock?

The steering rack and swar bar are in the stock position. You just have to make the oil pan very short in the front. Im not sure if your hood would clear, the only one I know for sure will clear is that 1000 hood for the 2jz swap. It is such a small hole Im just going the make a very low profile hood bubble out of fiberglass like this guys but smaller:

yea moding the hood doesnt sound great to me, even tho getting that thing mounted seems easier and cheaper then an ls1 (easy mod to the subframe to allow clearance instead of full k member) i think im gona stick with the ls2 route so i dont have to worry about hacking up a hood

2jzswap.com the people that made the aftermarket hood to clear the motor and the 2jz swap kit have said that the Scoot hood will clear the extra height of the motor they only came out with "their" hood as another option for people doing the swap.

what all is involved with this swap, wiring, ecu, little work to clear the pan (no problem i have a welder) a koyo in the stock fd location should clear, front mount intercooler, assuming if the engine is stock a stock fd fuel system would keep up, just need a regulator. what did you guys spend on your swap?

man your car is my dream car (except for color and wheels but it's just personal choice, you'rs a killer!!)
i actually strongly considere selling my skyline to build one also...everyone can say what they want about the weight distribution and useless engine since te 13b can easily do the same power figures but...an rb just for the sound...nothing else...those who were bitten once by the sound of a RB are done...lol
remember also the RB26 grey one but no backup of him since waaay long...that's sad..
anyway..congrats for your absolutely stunning car!!
