Unhappy TII supra7

Well the genetic gene to get a new project has kicked me in the *** with no mercy, so I am rounding up interest on my supra7 project car.

http://www.msnusers.com/fuelcutswitch/shoebox.msnw

For pictures go there, there is about 2-3 pages of them, all of the major fabrication is finished, meaning the motor mounts, tranny mount, fire wall (had to be cut and moved back about 5 inches), shifter hole, ..... etc.

And about all that is left is the drive shaft, and electrical (the biggest b#tch you'll ever see), and I'll probably end up getting the drive shaft made at a local shop, so you can consdier it finished also.

So I am wondering what I could get out of this to go toward my next project?

Why are you selling, you seem so close? No to sound like a dick, but I really dont think you are going to get much from a half-finished project like that. Why not just finish it up, you've come this far already...

Lost interest, after seeing a new project in a junk yard. But I probably will end up finishing it, it should only cost me another $500 or so to have it running. But if someone would give me a resonable amount of money I would rather have it to go toward a new porject.

Yea I think that would be your best bet. I dont see you getting very much money for it at all in its current condition. Once its done and running, and someone can actually drive it, you can probably get a decent amount for it, especially if it has some decent power. May I ask what your new project is?

You don't want to know!

I'm gona go take one final look at it before I decide yes/no, most likely I'll just finish and drive the supra7. But I would like to have a 1st gen to (that's what it is), and I could probably afford both, it's just that my parents are REALLY pissy about haveing so much junk in the back yard/garuge. And if I bought it I would put 13B/13BT in it. Or something like that.

Just blame my brother, it's his fault, neither of us can focus on one project. We always finish it 1/2 way, and then get tired of it. IT SUCKS.

I am pretty sure it would be a little slower, but I could have it going in like 1 month, or so.

Finish it, get some basic mods, and maybe you'll change your mind... the 7m is alot different then a rotary, maybe you'll fall in love with all the torque

Uhhhmmm, yes I have!!!

Shut your hole!, I finished the exhaust system that we built from scratch. I took 2 parts cars and mad one that ran, didn't look the greatest because it was multi colored, but hey it made it have charactor. And I think that's the major projects that I did while on the forum.

Torque

I just finished makeing everything to finish braceing off the tranny brace. And that means all that is left is to have the supra/RX-7 drive shaft welded together at the right lenght. And to seem weld the tranny tunnel, and to also seem weld the tranny brace in.

And then comes the bitch!!! All the awsome electrical.

Anyways never really got an answer about my question. What do you guys think it is worth? Or would sell for.

I will give you a dollar to take out the engine and blow it up. I don't think that 7 is happy at all to be bastardized.

I wouldn't pay more than a couple of 100 for it just for parts then of to the melting pot to make new 8's

Seriously, unfinished projects aren't worth ****. I have seen project cars $500 away from being a $20,000 finished product go for $2000 just because nobody out there wants to finish a half done bastard.

Stick to it, and get the ************ done complete. I'm real good with electronics, and I would come and help you if I could, but my car is toasted for now as you probably know, and I don't have any time off from work until February.

You ask for opinions on what people would pay for it, then you flame them when they tell you?

Honestly, dude. I wouldn't pay much for it if it's not completed.

I cant use the RX7 anymore because it's been modified to fit the engine. I'm not into supras, so I would ditch the engine.

The supra guys would probably only want it for the engine, so they probably wouldn't pay much for it..

You would get WAY more if it was completed. Even if it was just running, someone would buy it and clean it up and paint it.

Is that motor a rebuild or did you just yank it out of a supra, and if so how many miles are on it.(sorry im sure you have all this posted somewhere) FINISH IT!!!!!!!! Youll love it. and if you dont im sure you could get anof to turn a profit. It may take some time to find the right buyer.

I honestly don't know that much about the motor, because the car it came out of had a busted odometer, and the guy swapped engines out of it, because he wanted a motor that he knew the milage on. But I'm not to worried about that because I plan on rebuilding it. Although he did say it ran fine, and didn't knock, nor did it have BHG. So as long as I can drive it for a little while than I'm happy.

And I'm working on fiishing it, I've got to come up with another $500 bucks or so, to buy the radiator, exhaust, IC pipeing, and that is everything major that is left.

The electrical is going to be my brother's department, I couldn't even find the hot wire if I tried.
