They quote 27 lbs. I wonder what makes up this inconsistency.

What inconsistency? 27 pounds is nothing. Even the 60 pounds difference that I see in my car could be attributed to the amount of gas in the tank, the aftermarket tires and wheels/etc.

There won't be one specific number to point to. The trend is that you're not adding much weight, if at all.

...and as i stated over a year ago. My LS1 FD tipped the scales at 2710lbs. Full interior.
