ford 2.3t swap into a first gen
well, i posted the "motor is sitting in the car" thread a while back, but if your interested, my site is
www.angelfire.com/va3/rx23
im tackleing the wiring right now, and its a major bitch
it looks somewhat organized in the picture vs. what i have layed out right now in my basement. i id'd all the wires coming out of the ecu, but i still have 20 or so un-labled wires. i think they are basically abs, a/c, active ride controll, ect, but i dont want to cut anything out without knowing what it is (obviously)
background i guess, the car is a 85 gs (fb), the motor is a 86 merkur xr4ti motor. i have gsl-se suspension, and some various other mods you can see in the pictures.
if you go to www.boostbros.com you can see the same swap (where i got the idea actually).
this swap has had its fair share of aggravations, and at times i jokingly say "should of thrown a 350 in there", but i cant wait for it to be done..
just though i would post it since im getting closer. i want to see what yall think.

I think you'll find that site interesting... his engine can definitely be classified as a "frankenstein"... V8 Cummins Turbo?? Volvo heads? wow... Oh, he's running somethin like over 30 PSI with that turbo on his bone stock bottom end too. Amazing eh?
