Engine adapters

Just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for shops/companies that make engine adapters for the stock transmissions.

I would like to run an audi 2.2 turbo 5 cylinder, and with the use of an adapter, run the stock mazda transmission. Thoughts? This is for an FB, and i would upgrade the trans to a T2 or better later. Thanks

Kennedy Engineering makes adapter plates for various engine and transmission combinations. I bought my 20B to Porsche 915 adapter from them. I can't gaurantee they have one for your application though. I had a great experience with them, especially Hobart Kennedy himself, and highly recommend you check them out.

I just got off the phone with them before i posted that. They were not interested. They also stated that the rx7 trans is not that strong, and that i should use something else.

Haha, it should be strong enough - but depending what your power goals are.
The TII and FD transmissions are basically the same, and can handle about the same amount of torque/hp. 500 whp is not rare.
