Totally awesome. That car is going to be a monster. I wouldn't worry about the haters on the swap. I get that all the time for my v8. But, I've owned plenty of rotaries and sometimes you just want a little reliability.

thats funny... for the right price anyone can buy a "KIT" to do the swap. only thing is, they wont sell many bc the 2jz is sooo damn expensive to mod. thus not many people will be interested in them
i could have my friends who built mine make 10 more... there just isnt a market for them right now. trany and k member would run you around 1500 plus shipping. and thats just for the mounts...
and say you buy that... then you have to buy the engine, trany, wire the whole thing up (not easy), build custom exhaust... etc
we have talked about making them in mass, just no market for it

If/When a kit comes out please let us/me know... I love the roary but after a few engines I don't think I can keep up... and I will go nothing less than Japanese domestic ( no ls1 ) even tho I admit its alot less maintances and crap like that ...

My 7 is going to be a car that gets passed down in the family so I want an engine that would last so when my kid grows he can....

Very nice project would give you 5 thumbs up if i had 5 thumbs to spare... I'm hoping everything is working out well for you... I know with all good things takes time but I'm just waiting to see when you finish this... and hope that you wont abort...

RoachDiddy: What would you call a fair price for what's included (labor and parts)? If you don't mind my asking do you have the costs you made for somewhat the equivalent? BTW: it's not a 6spd tranny. It's a r154.

Love your car, I can't wait to see the finished product. Do you have an ET for the driving stage of your build?

Sweet RoachDiddy! Thanks for sharing and your comments. You will have essentially built my dream car as well. Best of luck w/it next wk and going fwd.

I may have missed this on your build thread, and it's a bit hard to tell w/silver when looking at web pics:

Did you respray your engine compartment before dropping the 2j in, or is that the factory silver finish?
