Nice pics Roach! Any more overall driving impressions? It must be pretty ridiculous with all of that power.
Have you weighed your car yet?

why am i the only one who dont believe that this is working fine? Wasnt there a few weeks ago many people who said it will never work because of the steering rack etc?

Dont understand me wrong. I would love to heart that the engine fits great and the handling is good. But it would be to nice to be true...

And yes, pls tell us something about the handling . Or better, tell us everything!!!

Do u have pics auf build up?

THX

If you go with the supra TT rear end who is going to make the axles for you? I know DSS makes axles for the Cobra IRS 8.8 rd but can they make custom axles if you were to use a supra tt rear end?

Youre not the only one who remains skeptical. This car is being "hardparked". It hasnt laid down a 1/4 mile time, been auto-x'd, or hit a track of any kind. No proof, no pudding. Just a lot of hot air from a hood rat thus far.

it wasnt built for a race car. and never planed on running it at either track. "hood rat" are you serious?

Unfortunately, due to my schedule for the next several months in the Navy, I don't think I'll be able to really give a play-by-play on the status of my 2JZ swap, but whenever my brother gives me updates (he works at the shop doing the labor) on it, I'll be sure to keep you guys posted.

To me, at least, it's just more time to get the car exactly how I want it, motor-wise, and visually, before I finally come home and drive that beast around town. :]

good to know that you are at least honest about the essence of this whole constructive critcism that overwhelmed this discussion all along.

You cant fix it, untill you dont raise the engine itself altogether. simple (bottom line)

how many people do you know auto-x with a gt42? there is far to much lag with that size of turbo to be auto crossing with.

You're not. If he doesn't know how bump steer works, I doubt he'd understand the conditions that it would be present under, and with almost no mileage on the car, he hasn't really experienced those conditions yet.

I'm waiting for the "I wrecked my car" post.

as bad as you want to see the "i wrecked my car" post it wont be bc of bump steer. it will be bc of ******* around having fun with 900+ whp.
i dont have to know every little thing about bump steer to know it doesnt wonder under power, doesnt switch lanes, doesnt feel out of control EVER. seems to me you'll never believe me no matter how many times i tell you.
so here is my offer. jimlab, fly your skeptic *** to sioux falls, sd and ill let you take my car out. end of discussion, take it or leave it

I don't particularly care why it happens.

i dont have to know every little thing about bump steer
It's quite obvious you know nothing about bump steer. The first good jolt you take at high speed will give you a crash course... pun definitely intended.

Unfortunately, God tends to look out for children, fools, and the cataclysmically stoned, so you're probably safe, and you'll probably live to breed. More's the pity.

http://www.fd3s.net/hood/index.html

Is a great link that shows every single FD hood currently available, as far as I know. lol

To be honest, I think I'll probably be the first guinea pig to find out just how good/bad the actual hood clearance is with the Tech2 Kit.

I'll be sure to post specifics in order to help inform anyone else who may be interested in the kit.

Tech2 themselves, as advertised, state that they "recommend" the Scoot Hood, but not that it's necessarily a MUST.. As I've stated earlier, though, it's my personal favorite anyways, so I'll be buying one.

When my brother's shop first puts the motor into the car, we will be using the stock hood to verify any and every hood clearance issue that exists with the stock hood. Just stay tuned for that.

I'll probably just start my own thread, seeing as how this one has been beat down pretty bad.
