After starting 4 threads about this project, he's selling the whole thing. Pretty freakin lame if you ask me.

Looks like he gave up on it. I liked the idea, but wondered why try and reinvent the wheel. Meaning why not do the tried and true LS1 swap and be done in just a few months with no special parts? Whenever you buy a rare JDM engine and try to make a hybrid car of course your going to spend a ton of money and get hardle anything back in return upon resale. Thats 95% of the reason I stuck with a domestic engine...was tired of special ordering mazda parts and paying a fortune! Anyone looking to do a engine swap in a RX-7 should read this and reconsider that rare..cool JDM engine!

BEAUTIFUL! I think it's great that you are building your dream car. I just recently finished a 2jz project myself. And I know all too well that when you do something like this you are bound to catch some heat. Last year I swapped and RWD converted a 1st Gen DSM. It was my first car and when the 4g63 puked her guts out at 160mph I couldn't just let her die! And I was tired of losing to supras on the freeway so I dropped in a 2jz. Needless to say the DSM community was a little less accepting than I thought they would be. Anyway, long story short. Awesome build! Awesome attitude! send me some pics if you got em' and maybe a vid or 2, this looks like it can be a fun project to take on.

How dare you build your dream car! What an arrogant, ignorant bastard you are. God will punish you severely......
You know I love RX7s. I have owned many and own one right now. I almost stuck an LSX motor in my GTUs. I am going 20B N/A. I just find these RX7 fundamentalist to almost be pathetic. I think it says a lot about society. People can find anything to get pissed at. I myself am a Gearhead first, Rotaryhead second. It is all about your own way and g-force. I want a LSX FD so bad I almost at times wish I had just bought one of the many for sale now.
Good luck with the project. Glad to see your still moving forward.

From reading the forums, it seems that the LS conversion also moves the steering rack and needs spacers to eliminate bump steer.
Will this work for the 2jz conversion as well? Why does it seem like the 2jz conversion is doomed to live with bump steer vs. the LS conversion?
