**my single turbo wide body rx7 2jzgte**

This thread has gotten out of hand. It has gone from constructive criticism to childish bantering. Feel free to PM me any questions regarding the swap or modifications. I am not on here everyday so please be patient and I will get to them as soon as I can. Jimlab, I would be happy to answer any of your questions or criticisms. We were told the goal (fit a 2jz and getrag V160 under a stock hood), and what the car would or would not be used for (not intended for a competitive race car, more show and street), and did the best with what we could.
If anyone is intending to do such a swap with the means of being competitive in racing, then you will have to deal with (what some consider) an ugly hood. This is obviously a constantly modified setup. We see what works, and then change it for the better. It obviously is our goal to eliminate bumpsteer as a whole, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. Such are the penalties for sticking such an engine in this car (and keeping a stock hood).
I will do my best, as will Mr. Roach I am sure, to keep you all up to date on the status of the car throughout the summer. It will be a little while before any 1/4 mile numbers because I want to get a lot of testing done and get any problems hammered out. Mr. Roachs safety is my number one priority and we wont be pushing this vehicle to any limits until we are comfortable with it.
I hope that this has cleared some things up and invite any questions that you may have. Like I stated before, I am busy and wont be able to respond right away, but will do my best. This bantering has gone far enough and I am sure that the moderators, as well as any other enthusiast following this build would appreciate it if it stopped, or at least went to PM's

Selling this garbage to innocent and foolish people should be illegal.

It's OK Dan, you don't have to apologize for your customer's ignorance or lack of class. I'm sure your work is top notch, and "Mr. Roach" should be thankful he has someone experienced handling his thinking for him.

Yes they would because Jim relays technical information relevant to the issue at hand. We dont like you and are barely tolerating you and you ignorance solely on the fact that you are the guinea pig who will confirm for us that the 2JZ is not a feasible engine swap for the Rx-7 if you plan on ever hitting a bump or taking a corner at high speed. Once you have proven to everyone that the engine swap is little more than an expensive joke you will probably be banned for your ignorance, insistence, and general lack of any redeeming qualities.

Not to change the subject, but,
the plan for this car is street and show correct?
No plans to even run it in the 1/4?
I would assume this could get down the track in a straight line right?
Curious to know how his times would compare to a 20B with a GT42R.... One more question, the rear end, so far, from what I can gather, no hardened axles/launch kit/Rear Diff yet correct?

ill run the 1/4 mile when i swap out the rear end
yes it would go down the track right now in a strait line, the rear end just wouldnt hold up under that sticky of conditions
i have no idea how it compares to a 20b. never owned one
stock fd rear end. happy it has lasted this long.

Good stuff. I can tell you are getting frustrated with this thread.
If you need any advice on rear parts PM me. I do own a 20B GT42R setup, thats why I was curious. The rear set up should handle your numbers. Anyway, good luck with this, it is deff different, which I like. I tend to like it when someone takes a chance and does something different.

how about you troll other peoples topics?

Point and case. Not to mention; the 2JZ is heavy in genral and top heavy by any measure, especially when you consider not keeping the stock hood. This swap is purely for people who want the highest horsepower cod piece available and not for those who want any sort of functional, deliberate, or safe vehicle.

I am a fan of all vehicles, pistons or not, but I am also a strong supporter of originality and doing what YOU want, instead of what everyone else thinks you should do.
Have a good night,
Dan
