who has or knows of installing a TII engine in a repu
i have searched both forums rx7club and the repu forum with next to no luck.
I want to install my t2 setup in my repu instead of the 1stgen.
i have no trouble doing this my self just want to see if others have done the same.
and if so what problems did they encounter my one thought would be getting traction may be a problem.

You need a 1st gen front cover and a GSL-SE oil pan with a 1st gen pick up tube. Or if you're lucky you have the larger capacity REPU pan and pickup tube. That's what I installed on a friend's S5 T2 engine and we dropped it into his REPU. We also used an RB light steel flywheel for 215mm and 225mm applications along with an HD 225mm clutch disc and 225mm SS pressure plate. The pedal effort is pracically identical to my REPU's OEM 30 pound setup. We both have '76 5 speed ribcase trannies and the same rear gears. Traction is ok (our power levels aren't that high yet).
Edit: I fogot to mention his truck has a Camden 7" SC and mine is or rather was NA. Mine is getting a 5" SC.

thanks jeff
i have the gsl-se pan plus the front cover to so i can keep a 4 line mop.
what would your thoughts be on using the t2 tranny i guess the gearing wouldnt be good with payload???
im pretty positive it has the repu tranny is there much difference to the 1stgen bear in mind it has a 12a i know it has a long shifter that has been cut down.
i have a few things to get before i start since the engine was blown
need 2 rotor housings and a center plate.
im thinkin i can grab a 6 port engine swipe the housings and center plate and do some porting to match spec.
is there any clearence issues with a turbo? i would think not but curious.
i guess i need to look the truck over again.
