Small Rotaries/ Mid West Engines

Hey guys, I'm on the hunt for some info. Google hasn't been of much help. I'll I've been able to find is some random stuff about the companies.

I'm taking on a project at school of trying to get one (or more) of these small rotory engines running and putting out enough power to be useful for something, possibly an ekranoplan. but what it goes into isn't much concern right now, just getting them running on the engine dyno is.

What we have are four of these small single rotor engines made by Mid West Engines Ltd. in the UK. Their model is IE30R-AA. We're just in the process of starting to take one of the crappy ones apart to see whats going on in there and figure out what we need to know about them. If anyone has info on them or knows where to find any it would be awesome. Here's some crummy cell pics if you want to see what I'm talking about.

the other three without stands.

Those are kinda trick. Do any of those have an intake? It looks like there should be an intake of some sort that would bolt to the top where the blue tape is.

no and thats one of my problems. No intake, no carb for any of them. To be honost these things have been sitting around for a while, and I have no idea where they came from. My prof gave me the keys to "stupid storage" and I had to go dig around in there to find them. fyi its called stupid cuz the roof is about 3-4ft high depending on the spot lol.

designing and fabbing an intake manifold would not be out of the question. we build some pretty cool stuff around here. but the whole thing is just kinda funky haha so I wanna learn as much as I can about it before getting into doing design work for something like that.
