Wow, most of the posts I see from Wacky are pretty civil (i.e. I'll give people parts for free if they just drive down to get them), kinda showing some teeth here dude. o.0

It isn't impossible but it may not be cost worthy, front seats that would be a nice upgrade, but like mentioned before it may not be cost effective trying to get the back seat int here although if done properly it would look nice...but just shop around and look at some some options and see what you can do...

******* haters there like *** holes, everyone has one lol...

Im just giving everyone a "reality check" thats all. its called "constructive criticism" so if you dont like it, too bad.

I don't have an issue with you telling me to leave it old school, maybe this would have been done with, if you.....ahhh.....said it nicer, with a little less arrogance. But you went over the line of constructive criticism when you told me to get rid of my beloved RX4 (which mind you which I have been looking for the better part of a decade) and to get a RX8. All this because I want to make my interior like an RX8 and the usage of the profanity is uncool as well.

Again Arrogance and Him like attitude.
You are not the RXGOD. Amazing 13K+ posts, and displaying this attitude, is just wrong.

Again you are being sarcastic, arrogant and pretty much full of yourself here. You really like the game of tennis, back and forth and so on. Mate just say something nice or at least give an honest critique without coming across as a jerk. I am assuming you have friends because if you acted like this to a friend who comes to you for your opinion you wouldn't have any. You wouldn't talk to them like this.....so to a complete stranger, me, who just joined this board less then one month ago, it took me aback. So treat people with a little respect, and really all I was asking was what other members thoughts are to my proposed idea and to be burned by you for this is ridiculous. .

"**** yeah" = good job.
I will be doing the job with "pride of ownership", that is my style. For example, the previous owner had a rear view mirror that went from the left front pillar to the right front pillar and I fixed that straight away. I like to have the " WOW" factor, meaning jaw dropping and saying that is so cool, I have never seen that before. There are many ways to say "wow".

I do the Taco Bell thing dude....So why you hating when you yourself have done many mods which no one else has done in the old school world. Or are you just saying that no one else can do it other than youself. This whole banter about my post kind of reminds me of you being the Soup **** from the 116th episode from Seinfeld (The term "****" is used as an exaggeration of the excessively strict regimentation he constantly demands of his patrons-taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Soup_Nazi). How much ***** and guts do you need to stay within the boundaries of originality? I don't think much.Just served you a nice one here. That being said there is a very fine line indeed for ones interpretation of keeping it original. People's opinion in regards to the concept of "originality" is completely individualistic in notion. I am writing a bloody dissertation here for my Doctorate here aren't I?? Subject: DICKS. For me if I was stay true to that statement, I would keep it all stock, and for you to admit you have done things to the car, you are modifying the vehicle period, you are going outside the lines of originality, check the dicktionary. You are a contradiction. You are doing exactly the same thing as me, I may be going a little farther than you but I really don't care for your opinion since you came off as one arrogant dude. I really don't know what has been the catalyst to your attitude in this posting. Maybe jealously, maybe you are trying to do the same thing as me and you want to be the first, I have no idea.

But please do enlighten us, since a lot of people are curious, about your ballsy modifications, whilst keeping it "Strictly Oldschool".

We all have mother, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives, wives, wives, girlfriends, cousins, neighbors, pets, TV etc to give is a "reality check" we don't need WackRicer to give us his slanted view on reality. You opinion is not constructive, it is destructive, in this particular situation. Benefit of doubt given since you may be a real nice guy, .

Which is totally fine dude, its just the way you went about it was bad. Why scare off people that may some day have a bad *** car?

All i know is that there is hardly any Original cars out there, Only one i have seen was the one that was in my garage. And im sure no one out there can touch it. There may be more but they out hiding like this one was.

Original cars are cool, they keep their value for sure.
But a restored Rx3 will still sell for 30k.

why? Coz most of the people here doesnt care but I do. I just think that if its complete, why **** with it and that applies also those with piston crap conversion on RX-7. Leave them alone!!!

and I agree with your RX-3...if its complete and still runs with stock motor, keep it stock. I have the same plan for my other RX-3 but work schedule is tough right now so its not a priority.

Im not saying your thoughts on keeping the car original were wrong. Just the way you handled it. I also believe cars should be kept as original as possible. BUT having people add their own style to it doesn't hurt at all. Plus i rather see the cars being worked on, rather then ending up in a junkyard. That way in a few years we don't have to work as hard! lol

I've see a few RX8 front seat swaps here in Aus, have been told it's not too big a job.

As for the rear seat and console I could take some measurements if you like, I am in the process of doing up a an RX4 coupe and my Mum owns an RX8.

I think it would be an interesting look.

Please mate can you do that for me, that would be real sweet if you can.
The project will be pushed back a little, just opened the hood to the engine bay, and I see metal shavings all over the bay, I am assuming the engine is done for....crickey My freakin luck.
But send me the measurements anyways...I still will do it.
Thanks Chris

RX8 measurements are.....

1450mm across the base of the rear seat.

1200mm across the top of the back seat.

212mm distance between the front seats next to the console.

The console is around 1400mm long and 200mm wide.

Hope that helps with the decision.

I think everyone has an opinion not an hasault, I do understand everyones side.
I understand wacky and his opinion on keeping old school old school. But no one really keeps old school old school.. People put after market rims, dual mufflers different color paint different enterior, and especially different motor, I bet no one wants to go back and put old stuff like old suspensions or even take rx7 parts and put on rx3 like most people do, thats not old school .. and still call it original ,, I would not want to go back and put old suspension or old brake systems or even and old engine in my rx3 . I do understand going over bored on upgrades cuz we aint doing no Civics we making Rotary classics.. good luck everyone .

Oh and really I dont see much projects in this forum on old school so Seen someone doing something to a old rotary I love it, Get tired of going in old school area and no new thing going on, thanks everyone for your projects keeps my hopes up..```

The rx4 interior is leaps and bounds better than the flat top dashes in rx2s and 3s. The rx4s wrap around dash feels a little more grown up to me a little like comparing an audi s4 interior to an evo! Im going to say what Wacky meant.....original or era correct looks better then modern stuff(nicer wording?). But anyone that has taken a corner in stock seats can sympathize with you. At the end of he day do whatever makes you happy son.
