RX2 Struts / Springs

Going to load up our RX2 to race in the 24 Hours of Lemons this weekend...

Anyone know where I can get struts that will fit the car at the last minute?

Just sitting in the car causes it to nearly flip over!

Once you get the car bouncin... It doesn't stop. This is just in the driveway idling.

Texas World Speedway os gonna Eat Us UP!!!

Car has a dyno proven 200whp half bridgeport (dynod when in our FC) - this thing should be a handful with stock crappy brakes and no suspension to speak of.

It looks and sounds AWESOME though.

I could sell you virtually brand new KYB shocks and King lowering springs. Not by this weekend though....

U can use first gen front with the re-speed spacers and S5 rear for the rear.

The front Shocks can be rebuilt (assuming they aren't rotted away) so you can have a go at that if you want, and who needs brakes when you have a transmission =P

Rebuilding ur struts is expensive. I've called a place in Michigan that does that and they wanted $350 Plus shipping for the fronts rebuild. I would just swap out for first gen cartridges.

Sure its expensive to pay someone to do it, but it shouldn't be so much to do it yourself, especially when you have the book to tell you how to.

Yep. More:

Reviving an old thread and YES, thats the car.

We are going to give this another go in Houston in a few months.

The suspension was downright scary at TWS.

I may just go with springs and struts - if I can find them.

However, changing bolt patterns to something more available would be a plus so major suspension changes are up for discussion too.

Discuss!

Even better - hook us up! We aren't asking for free, but it IS Lemons so cheap is okay!

I know you old schoolers would LOVE to see the RX2 actually be somewhat competitive again.

U can swap everything from a GSLSE. Will need to shorten rearend but that will give u full disc brake and a 4x114.3 bolt pattern.
