RX-3 rear suspension.

Leaf springs or coils?

Does anyone have any pictures and can someone explain to me the difference between the SA/FB rear suspension and differential compared to the RX-3's?

Thanks.

The rx3 is leaf spring, the rx7 sa and fb are a 4 link and coil springs. The rx3 71-75 had long third member 24 spline, 76-78 short third member 24 spline. Sa's 79-80 had short third member 24 spline(will fit rx3 housing all years but will need 76-78 drive shaft), fb's 81-83 same as sa's, fb's 84-85 short third member 26 spline. hope that helps and or answers your question.

Hm, so my 74 drive shaft won't bolt up to the 76 3rd member? I had planned to use the 74 drive shaft. Don't know if my 76 came with the right drive shaft. There was a drive shaft in the back seat when I acquired the car, I'll have to figure out what it is. I had been assuming they were all the same 71-78 RX3.

Thanks for such detailed info.
