Uh, you meant 1980 TR7, right? Those cars were only produced from the 1977 model year to 1981. Is your a convertible? If so, it's either an '80 or an '81.

Thanks,

You could always just cover the adhesive up with a new vinyl top

As far as the motor goes, I wouldn't even bother trying to get the original to run if you want the car to be half-way reliable. My latest project (FD) had around 80 on both rotors. Didn't even bother running it, just pulled and started rebuilding it.

Still have it, but haven't done much with it lately. I've moved 3 times since acquiring this car so it was difficult to really tear into it very far. Now that I have my own place I can get back to it, but lately I've been too busy fixing up the house, heh.

I also have 3 other RX-2s that are running drivers, so this one has kind of moved to the back burner and become a parts donor for the others unfortunately. It would really need everthing to be a reliable runner. Engine, tires, brakes are most likely shot, wheels cylinders are clogged up, suspension is like a carnival ride, several wiring harnesses need to be rebuilt, etc. The list just goes on. Even after all the work I've done, it still needs quite a bit.

One of these days I'll get around to it. I may try to swap in the streetported 12A from my 1st gen. since I haven't been able to drive it due to smog nonsense. In the RX-2 it would be fine.

Even though the rats are gone, thought I'd give a tip with the mouse traps. Mice and rats are verry adept at removing the bait w/o triggering the trap.

That is, until you Krazy Glue the peanut to the trap. Nothing like hearing 4 mouse traps snap in the attic at 3:00am.

At least this deuce is keeping others alive.

lol you know what we had a HUGE flood of old school cars in the last 2 months. Compared to when i bought mine in may its amazing. I payed a lot compared to what i can get right now. But i guess thats how it works out. And yes our goal is to have 5 by end of next year, we have 3.

I have considered selling it, but only after I've swapped the parts I want. Heh, and even then I may end up keeping it for spares or to make another runner. It's not like you run across these every day. I also have about 4 people who told me they would want it. I guess it depends on what I'm offered, but as it stands right now I'm not overly motivated to sell.
