not sure yet, not that far. I'm thinking about going with a Haltech setup incase I decide for a turbo add on in the future.

My driveshaft came back today! Looks great! It cost about $100 and is made with all new parts. Should hold up much better than the stock rear flange and u joint is one that you can get for 9 bucks at any parts store so i was pretty happy. Going to put it up in there tomorrow and snap some pics.

Also my front grill guard that I picked up at a flea market for 8 bucks!

These weird looking things are actually the motor mounts I came up with today. There is no holes cut where the mounting points are yet but everything fits great. I've already decided to modify one of them after a few looks at it but pretty much should work out great. Next step is to take them to someone to make with steel.

I am swapping a 12a in one. Mine has no fenders only a hood so that makes it LOTS easier.

sorry guys, been crazy at work these last few weeks. I bought a samurai with a 4.3L vortec, 35" tires and 1 ton axles so slowed down on the rotary. However decided today to get back to it. Took the mounts and put them on the engine today. Had to modify them alittle seeing that I did a few incorrect measurements but still make them work. Its all sitting pretty waiting to be welded to the frame. I'm going to try my luck today with stick welding. Its the first time I've ever welded... should be fun. Hopefully this afternoon you'll see it sitting on its own power.

offically have the engine mounted in the samurai! Was going to weld the engine to the frame, but after failing at that I thought it would be easier to go with the first idea I had which was to bolt it to the frame. After everything was bolted in I started putting everything together today just to see how it fit. Like a glove! Still have quite a bit of stuff to do to make this thing function. Need to get some block off plates for the things I'm elimating, make a clutch pedal mount, custom radiator, get the other half of the engine wiring harness, exhaust, install a ext. fuel pump, and other little odds and ends and she'll almost be ready.

Everything cleared just fine

As you can see, nice and bolted. May have them welded for extra projection but seems to hold up just fine.

slow progress... kinda came to a stall. I'm finding that they guy who sold me the engines and trannies didn't give me everything I asked for. Missing alot of misc parts so looking for a good 2nd gen donor. Anyone have one laying around with say a blown engine or wrecked near louisville?
