Rotary Spitfire at the GRM Challenge
I've been building a 12A powered Triumph Spitfire (the Abomination) for the Grassroots Motorsports $2006 Challenge; basically the best race car you can build for under $2006. http://www.grmotorsports.com/ Challenge page http://www.grmotorsports.com/news/ca...006-challenge/
The Challenge was this weekend just past, Oct 26/28 in Gainesville, Fla. The Abomination did very well; 4th overall in the autocross (44.128), 10th in the concours, 20th (I think, 15.714 @91.19 MPH) in the drags, broke a CV axle on the third drag run. This was good for 7th overall out of 67 cars that showed.
I'm waiting on some pics from other attendees, I'll post them as I can.

Very good showing! Nice to see someone putting a 12a to good use. And congradulations on your placing dispite the broken axle. There is a post in here somewhere that talks about how to build an axle for a Spitfire. Maybe your setup is different though.
