I went down to coos bay a few weeks ago and there was a cherry red sand rail that was really sweet. He had a rotary in it with a carb...and to boot he had it turbo'd! Sweet looking little sand rail and that thing screamed. I meant to take pictures so that people could see it and if someone was interested could buy it(it was for sale).

I work in the sandrail business and rotarys were the hot ticket a couple of years ago, now everyone has moved onto ls1s. Reline got their start in rotaries. All of our engines come from Redline and we wouldn't use anyone else.

On the sand-rails, Mike at REDLINE has bulit some great rotary rides. At SevenStock-4, he brought out two killer rails... one with a killer turbo 20B on alcohol. The trend moved to NORTHSTAR motors, and now on to Chevy LS engines.

Sorry, only in Tom's dreams.

Yes, in the very beginning of Mazdatrix, I purchased engines from Tom McCabe -- known at that time as "The Rotary Doctor" - and MANY different names and different locations since then. Tom and I purchased a few wrecked cars together and parted them out. Please do not make me go into more detail -- I do NOT dislike Tom McCabe.
I assembled my own engines (RX3 in IMSA) in 1982 (WAY before even MEETING Tom), I own the dyno, I own the lapping machine, I had my own fully equipped facility in Signal Hill since 1977, yes, 1977 !! - It was a simple name change to go 100% Rotary from Rotary/British mix from 100% British, (Rotary Doctor was 45 miles away), I invested $120,000 of MY OWN money (mortaged my house for $75,000 and put ~$45,000 on MY credit cards!) to create Mazdatrix, I WROTE/created the catalog (~$50,000), I WROTE the entire initial website, etc.
I am still, to this day, unsure what deep-seated personal emotional reason Tom McCabe has for continuing to believe, in his own mind, that he "created" Mazdatrix, and "taught" me all I know. I am not at all pleased to put this in writing on a public forum, but maybe the time has come?
What I wish to NOT air is Tom's continual type of engine building quailty, number of new parts used, break-in procedures, core practices, the number of suppliers over the years who either will no longer sell to him, or take CASH only, return warranty percentages, number of lawsuits, number of name changes, number of location changes, and so much more.
