Rotary B2000 ..Promo car daily driver

Well like it says this is a Company Promo Truck that my younger brother built using as much stock parts as possible to promote our Goopy Apex Seals. Was also a learning tool for him since he started this when he was 14...The idea was to get you head working with what you have..You do not have to shop from summit or jegs or call every manufacturer to build a nice street rod..

It started with a doner 1987 B2000..no engine, tranny, rear was shot, dents all over..hey i got it for about 50bucks in spare parts..

stock (for the moment) 79" 12A heavy flywheel motor
stock intake with a sterling carb..nicely adjusted
.mec secondaries , 87 coils , front mount oil cooler, 74 rotary truck radiator & shroud... Electric fuel pump (autozone 35.00), new alum fuel lines,

RB header,to colector, 3" tube to borla muffler (resonator) then 3" to the back into a premaflow muffler..Sounds Sweet!!!

87 B2000 tranny with rx7 bellhousing.. front shaft needs a little machining or just go at it as best as you can with a grinder.
B2000 driveshaft with toyota rear universal..balanced etc.
Stock fron suspension
Redrilled front hubs to 5x4.5 bolt patter.
Rear leaf springs dearched 4"
Old school 69" camaro traction bars
1990 toyota V6 2WD truck rear, 5 lug & 1987 Rx7 brakes calipers disk..all on a home made bracket .. I will get the E-brake working soon. 4.37 gears for now..I may go to 4.56 or 4.88 with a supra turbo posi unit in it but i will take Whatever the junk yard has to offer.
Front 15x3.5 & rear 15x8 weld prostars.
Fronts tires kumo skinnies and rear 26x10 old school Pro-track 60's ($10 @ swap meet)

Fenders, hood, doors and bed from a B2600I 4x4 model...
Mazda 626 turbo seats...and other neat tricks here and there.
oh for the old school Hunts point BRONX guys..The wooded steering wheel!!
Rides like a cadilac, not to bouncy or loud.

Truck runs great gets about 16-19 MPG city and 20 highway due to the dia of the tires... Real soon we will install a worked semi/perifial block new carb and a NOS wet setup @ 250HP..Hopefully the tranny will stay together..

See the truck at most of the east coast meets Drag events or our distributors..
Feel free to post questions or coments.

Nice nice!!! I always liked those pickups with rotarys. My next door neighbord in PR had one street turbo with 26x10 street slicks. One day i ll have one like it (hopefully)lol. Really like your project.

I have a chance to purchase one this very moment (87 B2000 rotary) w/ a 12a. I feel a 13b would have been a better choice but the thing runs like a dream. $1800. is what he's asking but I dont know if this would make a good daily driver. Had many rx7's but not a truck.

step by step write up?

1: install 12a or 13b into b2000 or any mazda truck.
2: run wiring and hoses.
3: make solid mounts(the rotary is so smooth you will be ok with solid mounts)
4: modify driveline??? maybe?
5: drive truck.

Hey man, you oughtta call the Mazda dealer on Cobb Pkwy and ask for Lee in the parts department. He's got a VERY clean T2 swap in a B2000 (with a cute sleeper little 1.5-in stock tailpipe )
