Rotary in a 323?

I have a 323 gtx and I have seen a few examples of rotary engine in 323. To my understanding there is three generations of 323s. One Rotary 323 I have read about is 1st gen and came stock with RWD and using an rx7 tranny which bolted right up and rx3 crossmembers there was very little fabrication. I have 2nd generation 323 GTX which comes with AWD 1.6T stock. I am trying to hunt down any and all info for this possible upcoming project. If anyone has info,links,names,book/magazine articles please post em'.

Also any info on the AWD rx7s that were made. I am curious if they used the GTX drivetrain if so I guess there would be hope for me as to swaping to the rx7 RWD. Don't get me wrong the AWD is great but the tranny and center diff won't hold up to more than 200 hp without spitting parts and the very little aftermarket support doesn't help this matter any and xtrac is a couple hundred promotions away for me top afford

Thanks,
JH

NO NO NO! The first generation 323 was called the GLC here. It was an ugly little SOB (looked like a first-gen civic)

these were made from 1977 to 1980, while the wagon lasted a bit longer.

here is a pic of the 1981 GLC - FWD, I had one of these - pretty fun -

There are a few RX323's (Late 70's) been built here in Australia by people. The floor pan of them are the same as the rx3/808 AFAIK. for that reason they are easy to just drop in.

I also ready somewhere a guy built a series 2/3 AWD rx7 that was used in a bit of rally driving. Used Mazda 626 FWD parts to drive the front wheels as well.... I cant remember what book it was in I read it though.
