Gotta agree here. I spent years as the lead driving instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in GA. We used all automatics and did some really wild things in them. I (and many of my instructor staff) raced everything from SCCA to stocks and dirt track during our time off and the same techniques we taught were the ones we used in our stick shift race cars. I may catch flak from some here, but street racing is NOT cool. It is stupid and extremely dangerous to your license and life. You never know when Ma and Pa Kettle might wander into the middle of a race. There are tracks all over the U.S. where a person can push their car fast and most offer training in the right ways to do it. (I taught all of my kids proper racing techniques and it's made them safer drivers on the street.) I'd recommend joining the local real Mazda club and go to their sanctioned events.

keep the car bone stock, get a helmet and go to a drift event, HPDE or Auto-X or something.
racing = learning how to drive. even if your car is AT there's still alot you can learn with a good instructor and some track time.

To me a mild bodykit can be tasteful (and the widebody 1st gens look great). But alot of people really over do it and make the car look gross. But I have seen a few cars with body kits that looked fantastic. The big wings usually look gay though.
Plus its something to do last, Im doing a body kit on my TII since it needs new bumpers and sideskirts and I really don't wanna go back to stock, itll be very mild though.
