Mazda made a rotary truck from 74-77. They are similar to a curier. Same cab different interior, dash, fenders, box, grill etc. much cooler than a curier. Check out www.mazdarepu.com there is a lot of pics and info there. there are several of us on here that own REPU's and drive them daily.

The conversion can be done.. You will just need to make mounts and transfer all the cooling system Junk.. The courier also has a narrower frame.

To see a clean looking RotaryEnginePickUp look below at mine

BTW they're always rusty. Mine was no exception. 12 gallons of Metal Ready deruster and 12 wire wheels for the grinder. 2 cases of rubberized undercoating.

I found mine in Richmond Virginia. More rust than any west coast repu has ever seen I can assure you. There is a pair for sale in Arkansas right now. If you want to travel some.

Hey Brad did you change the color some of your truck there? Looks like flourescent green almost now. Me like.

Factory Lawn Green color. Matched to the paint behind the bench seat. The CD didn't come out the right color. My paint is closer to the green on the tailgate. Thanks for kudos!

Chris's blue repu from checkpoint motors was a front runner in the San Francisco Open Street Prepared Class. Against a Viper!

That's not a REPU, Dan. It's a rotary powered B-series pickup. I never once called my friend's 13B powered B2000 a REPU, and neither did he (it's the red one he was selling). Of course we had genuine REPUs, so it's pretty easy to see the difference.

Hey Dan, are you going to bring your truck tomorrow?

It was a TON of work but well worth it. I stripped the undercarriage and body down to bare metal. Undercarriage got 2 coats primer, 2 coats epoxy black paint, 2 coats of rubberized undercoating. Including springs and rear.

Took 18 months of dedicated weekends to get it stripped, derusted, and painted plus countless misc. other things (interior, exhaust, make mechanically sound) then another 4 months at a more relaxed pace to tune and touch up here and there.

She's a beaut but I'll never buy a rusty car in need of complete restoration!

Brad

I think so to. I had planned on doing mine up in some metallic yellow. Something similar to cym or maybe cym iself. The stock yellow that they came in is similar to the current RX8 yellow. The 74 color was called "flare yellow" Its nice but i prefer metallic.

theres my repu... a shame it doesn't run still oh and that pic is without the motor in it... the front end usually sits about 2 inches lower... its got a cool low in the front slightly higher in the back look... about the blue repu with the TII engine... whats the point of that top mount intercooler if they got no scoop? i'm sure its fast and all, but hell even with a scoop the stock TMIC was only good for bout 12 psi... i'd hate to see what its good for with no cool air to help it out...

What would you guys pay for a repu? Its got a straight body from what I could see. It has a camper shell on it at the moment. Unfortunately the guy took the rotor emblem off of the grill and replaced it with some flag emblem or something. He's asking 1000. I may try to get a few pics of it.
