Maxton Rollerskate

I'm in the process of buying a 92 Maxton Rollerskate 12a with only 2,000 miles on the chassis.

Does anyone have one or know any info on them?

Also I'm almost sure I'm not getting a title but the vehicle was registered and has an inspection number on it. Anyone know where I go from there?

Good luck with the rollerskate. You're getting a cool little piece of history there. Do a search in this forum, there is some info about the rollerskates on here.

Thanks man! there are some downs though, the tank is said to be rusted and the engine hasn't cranked in like 5 years. I'm guessing it will need an engine rebuild. I'll update this thread from time to time.

Just don't try to start it. Go through the systems to verify thier condition, (coolant, fuel, etc... Clean the tank and lines *duh*) and search on here for starting engines that have sat for long periods. I have a sweet JLC 12a that sat for over 10 years, and all I did was pour oil into the ports and plug holes with it on the stand, and rotated the motor into a different position every day for about 3 days to lube/free up any kind of potentially stuck seals. Grabbed the flywheel, and it turned very freely. Sitting for a long time in the right environment is not a bad thing.

That thing will be a blast.

I have a Maxton and you will love the handling. 2K is the deal of a lifetime. The only downside to owning one is you have to figure out what part you need for any repair by yourself. There is no parts manual. Good luck with the purchase, PM me for any info you might want on it (if I know).
