They will use the most expensive parts they can but will not touch the engine cause that might be considered work. In the end your wagon will look like a hooptie chevy nomad, with early 60's round cadillac taillights. That will be sure to scare off any honies that you were wanting to sniff panties from. So just do it and e-bay it off afterwards to get some cheese and get yourself a ride you can pimp to your liking, just keep it a rotary. Good luck.
How much do you think I'll be able to get on ebay?

So where are all these "innovative" boogie vans now? Easy: They're sharing automotive Hell with the likes of AMC Pacers, Gremlins, Ford Pintos, 1974 Mustang IIs, Edsels, Chevrolet Vegas and countless riced-out Civics that were totalled by their amateur street-racing owners. Do you really need to ask if this is a good idea or not?

I hear ya, I was planning to redo the car but being in college pretty much eats up all my money. The car is in wonderful condition and only has 77K on it. But another memeber did make a point that if I did let them do it I would be able to sell it for a hefty profit and buy another.

I can't put either on my REPU but good for a laugh. My buddy just bought a 4 door Passat Wagon, I'm gonna bounce the *******' wagon off him.

I think someone should go buy a cheese wagon (aka, The School Bus) and have them pimp that bich out, Instead of little 6.5inch LCD screens they could put a ******* movie theatre in it and in stead of 14 inche woofers they could put like 45 inch woofers that thing would be pimp and for the engne a 26b that would be crazy as hell inted of school bus it would be cool bus

there gonna make it just like it would be for them a pimp mobile but i would never do it if it was my rx7 or my only car unless it needed it bad like interior and exterior problems

don't let them destroy it!
I'm no expert on vintage rotaries, but I do appreciate them and I looked around for one when deciding on what car I really wanted to buy, especially after reading a magazine (an Aussie one, I think) featuring a gorgeous blue RX3 with a 20B and a few other old Mazdas, and good ones didn't seem easy to find, regardless of cost. I'm not really all that active on any forums, but I do own a '67 Beetle and now an '84 VW Rabbit, so I'm always checking out forums for both, and I read a post by a guy that said he bought the Beetle they "pimped" on the show...not only did it **** me off to see the car defiled on tv, it didn't get any better when I read the description. If I find the post, I'll put a link here, but he said that everything they did was shoddy work just to make the car look "good," and that they didn't touch the engine and that he was pretty much gonna have to completely redo the car to get it back to anything besides what your typical high school poser would want to drive, and I'm 17 here so don't think that I'm some old coot just here to criticize the young'ns.
Even if you can get another one and make a profit, it'd be at the cost of a rare beauty. In my opinion, you have an awesome car and if you're going to let them completely rape an automobile, I wouldn't want it to be something as cool as a vintage Mazda. Heck, I'd like to even see their answer if you were ask them to describe how a rotary engine works

Do it and buy another one, if you want to.
chrome the engine bay and make it neat and pretty and take it to car shows and win ****.
or try to sell it to get how much money they put in it. and with that $1234billion buy the 787B and live hapily ever after
