Ok u guys are lost! All the **** they put on those cars is not expensive!
4 example the stuff on the Bell air....is worth not more than $2000 ....and i doubt u can sell it 4 the same price.....<<<<<Who the hell is gonna buy (west coast customs speakers/ETC! Unless you are GHETTO of course......Plus the fucked up paint job and interior would make the car look GHEY!.....Would you rather buy a clean Rx4 w/ all the original parts or a Pink car w/ a bunch of ghey **** on it?
And on top of that that car had all kinds of electric problems...........Its up To U man! I'ts your Car!,,,,,I'm not saying all the **** is cheap ! ...There was a couple cars w/ good stuff...Like the scion's computer and the new 4runner....But 80% of the stuff is FLEA MARKET quality...Its hard to sell Good brands for a decent price on ebay ...Imagine how hard it would be to sell that!

i'd let overhaulin do mine too but i'd make sure those that were in on it let those guys know that the ONLY engine swap they did could only be a 20B.

dude, do it. make sure when you're on mtv you tell them you wanna give a shout out and say 'the rx-7 club pwnzzz j00!!!'. you may be legally obligated to keep the car titled under your name, but i dont think could keep you from parting it out. or you could charge kids to ride around in it... actually....on second thought, dont try that, you'll probably end up in jail.

'hey billy, wanna ride in my car?'
'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPP!!!!!!! A STRANGER!!!'
'No! thats not what i meant! ****!'

I don't know wheither to cry or laugh! I know I wouldn't even consider it unless I knew I could sell the **** off... I have a bunch of local friends here who have 240s and are on the forums. They said the guy who got his 240 pimped out had to act as if he liked it on the show and be all excited. The first thing he did when he got home was flame the **** out of the show and put it up for sale... But I think something came up where he couldn't sell it. ROFL.. Dont do it man, you have a classic and seems in great shape.

Ok, I've seen the show and all they do is pimp the ride. No mechanical work that doesn't support a motorized TV or some other crap. If you're into bling and don't give a **** about how your car ends up you might come out ok. I haven't watched too many episodes, but I think the best vehcile they did was the Ford van that belonged to a guy in a band. That van was nasty and needed help in the worst way. Your car doesn't need to have the interior ripped out and have a color fade paint job with stars and crap in it.

As other metioned Overhaulin does a much better job, but they haven't gotten too hard core with mechanical mods either.

Personally I'm more about the go than the show so hands of my cars. So unless they wanted to pimp my tow vehicle ('72 Dodge B300 (one ton van)) I'd say no.

I say pimp it (just because I want to see what they do to it). I think you could part it out and build a much better car down the line.

Don't do it. Period. RX-4's are hardly dime-a-dozen, you'd be basically letting a bunch of retards kill one of the greatest cars of all time. The cars are already rare enough, don't let a stupid TV show take another one off the road.

There are a lot more idiots on this section than I would have thought.

"Do it and buy another one! LOLOZ!"

Where the hell do you find another RX-4 Wagon in that condition? I've been looking for one for years!

Agreed. Most of you probably weren't around in the mid '70s--- the era of the customized "Boogie Van." Many people at the time thought they looked cool, classic and were the last word in automotive innovation.

These psychadelic relics were painted all the gheyest colors imaginable and sported such innovative gimmicks as dingle-*****, fuzzy dice, Playboy-bunny-shaped opera windows, diamond-pleated "leather-look" uphoulstery, **** carpeting, naked-girl-silhouette mud flaps, stickers with "witty" sayings on them like 'If this van's rockin' don't bother knockin', '*******' Wagon' and 'Don't laugh --- Your daughter may be in here', and the icing on the cake: a bed in the back --- just in case the los... er, owner were to get the chance to lose his virginity before the next arrival of Haley's Comet.

So where are all these "innovative" boogie vans now? Easy: They're sharing automotive Hell with the likes of AMC Pacers, Gremlins, Ford Pintos, 1974 Mustang IIs, Edsels, Chevrolet Vegas and countless riced-out Civics that were totalled by their amateur street-racing owners. Soon to join them will be everything that ever comes out of "Pimp My Ride."

Do you really need to ask if this is a good idea or not?
