Once I find that Z I'm looking for this is the swap I'm gonna do. But it'll be a REW motor pushed back as much as possible...This is a nice build but he could have taken a different approach on the engine mounts.

ya know, I have always thought about swapping a 13b into another car.. like i think it be awesome to have a built 13brew around 320-330 at the wheels stuffed into a mazda pickup like a 98-00 model, and run down lightnings!!

but I have always liked the z cars since i owned one when i was 16, always had plans to drop a 350 in it but i sold the car quick at the first cash i seen lol.. Once my 7 is finished to my likings I might grab a old z car and drop a 13b in it.. that be one awesome ride!! In my opnion that is..

Ive been following that thread for awhile. He could have put the motor back another 4 or 5 inches, but the shifter would be way way back. My biggest gripe is his intercooler setup. With the 2 1/2 feet of engine bay that he has left, he could have very easily went with a V-mount, had almost non-existent intercooler piping. Since he went with a FMIC, it looks like he almost 4 feet of piping. This swap is on my list of to-do's. I cant wait.

Exactly...I'm also following he's build as well. I know what you mean about the big gap, I also mention to him that he could have shorten his tany tail shaft by 4" making the shifter near the stock shifter hole. But its his car he can do what he like.
