I've heard that you can mount the rotary to a porche transaxle with just an adapter plate. I'm gonna guess that's what they did. Somehow.

my first impression is: "dyno queen!"

i would be scared to get the rear tires spinning in that thing at any speed above 25mph. come on... a bus? it's top heavy as hell. looks like a real rolling coffin to me.

so it has no real practical use unless they decide to tub it out, which i have no idea why they didn't.

yeah

Id like to build a 70s porsche chassis with a rotary... good bang for the buck and cheaper to make horsepower compared to how expensive porsche engines go for.

but i hate targas

A 13bt with simple bolt ons and boost would be killer in a old 911

on a side note, 609whp isn't that impressive these days for a 3 rotor but still more than plenty for that rolling deathtrap.

Tiny rear tires. If they used the adapter to mount the engine to a Porsche transaxle, I wonder how long the trans will last with that kind of power.

They really aren't top heavy. I have had a few, I was actually surprised how well it went off road. He is probably run a built bus transmission

So Aussies build some of the fastest powered rotary anything in the world... But have you ever seen such bad wheel choices by an entire country?

Every old school Rx2/3 ect. from down under usually has horrible wheels.

beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder.
But I don't think my wheels look horrible.

Cheers

10-4. I feel the same way. most of the time, the bling bling can be misleading but if I'm not used to seeing a 4x4 old school RX.
