1977 mazda GLC 4 sale

I am selling my GLC because I have to finish the rx3. The car has an original 76,000 miles on the chassis. The piston engine was smoking, so I decided to do the smartest thing, a 12a bridgeport, rb header, custom mendrel bent 2.5 exhaust to the back w/ultra flow muffler "really nice job." Has one 6A MSD box, rb Holley 600 w/intake, rb bronze clutch and stock new pressure plate, 79 rx7 tranny so I didn't cut the floor up, 79 radiator, electric fan, old school rims that we called magnums w/brand new mickeys in the rear and new 13" in skinnies. And lastly the engine is sitting on an original rx3 crossmember, and aluminum polished motor mounts. This Car was and is a true street car and was built the right way!!! Asking price is $2800 obo. Pickup only. will send pics to people interested leave email..or number if nearby. Car is brite green with an almost perfect interior.

Thank you for posting some pictures.

What type of flywheel is on the engine? Is it quick to accelerate from a stop? How difficult is it to drive smoothly in traffic with the bronze clutch? How did you deal with switching from a cable clutch to hydralic?

It has a stock flywheel. The flywheel is the heavier ones that came stock on the 12a gsl engines. It accelerates to about 10,000 rpms w/the msd pretty quick. I don't know how the car performs in traffic because I haven't insured it. But, I do know that I had a gsl-se w/basically the same combo and drove it to and from school and work beautifully. Also, the conversion from cable to hydraulic is the easiest. In case you didn't already know, the front clip of a GLC and an rx3 are identical making the swap fairly easy. mazda b2000 clutch pump and rx7 slave. thanx...

Mine was converted to a 13B before I got it, and it appears they repostioned the pedal slightly to give more room between the brake and clutch pedals. The master appears to be from an early rotary (RX-4, REPU, Cosmo) and the slave is '79-'80 RX-7.

Did your car have points? Mine appearanlty had a transistorised ignition, perhaps retrofitted from a later car. It was built in 11/77 and most likely sold as a '78 model.
