120+ Mph Drive Shaft Blow Out!!!!
I got a pretty good idea of what happen. And what had happen was that I didn't take the time to check the vibration's coming from under my car. An d the pic following was and is the out come that took place. After pushing my car for three blocks with help from my friends.
Freeway race with a rolling start from around 40 mph threw third at 9 and some change grand threw forth around 100 or so and around 115+ in fourth the drive shaft bolts had rattled off allowing the drive shaft to fall to the ground slamming into everything under me and finally falling completely off taking my emergengy brake cable too. ******* sucks but what can you do. I got the win that's all that mattered. ]

100% on that. Besides, its only less than $250 to make a one-piece driveshaft (if this is on a RX-2) with larger u-joints etc etc.

Hell no i wouldn't use it again there a dime a dozen at the yard and with 50% off coming up on thanks giving weekend starting friday and ending sunday im picking up two for one. The rx-2 drive shaft that i made was built one piece with larger u joints mustang yoke from the heavy hitter years that the turbo II use are the same. Mazda bit the idea from ford in using the same yokes they used on the stangs that they use on the turbo II. Making that drive shaft costed me nearly three bills and my left nut. It pisses me off now cuz it was used for an all motor setup and now im going turbo on it.
As far as pics of the under carage i will post later tonight i got to get the car up in the air and see what is the rest of damage.

Try breaking the front yoke and having it spin all over the undercarriage because it is still attached to the rearend. Makes you a believer in driveshaft loops really quick. Did that in a friends RX3 and totally screwed the undercarriage not to mention scare the **** out of me. I thought that it was going to come right through the car.

I was lucky and blew the rear u at 40mph...that sucked big time and made some funky dents underneath.
I was at maybe 100mph the other day and I was getting vibration....scary. Looping this sucker for sure. Gotta replace my rear end bushings and make sure everythings straight....I can't think of why else it would shake at high speed....the two-piece shaft never vibrated....

I guess you guys couldn't smell the sarcasm on that "reuse" joke.
Just buy a new one from Mazda. Save yourself misery in the long run. If you are going to run high RPM's on the shaft(=high road speed) stock or carbon fiber is the way to go. I learned the hard way, search for "The $10,000 driveshaft" and read what happened to a custom shaft we had made for the race car.

Okay WOW i saw the damage under the car and it is not pretty at all. There are whole all under the chassie one that was pretty close to my hip next to my chair on the driver side. Another inthe back where my fuel pump is located and another on the passanger side another right above the exhaust in the back just before the fuel tank a dent in my exhaust and a gash in my muffler. **** MAN!!! Im not even sure if i could put my e brake back on because many of the mounting points for the cable were torne off
