actually it's most likely not.

Many people repair these for like 30 bucks if you really dont want to do it yourself, check craigslist. If you want more info on how to fix it yourself pm me. You can also try taking the casing off and unplugging the fan and turn it on for a couple minutes and then reset it and see if it works.

Craigslist, there are a bunch of people who fix 'em really easy I guess. I had mine fixed for 40 bucks I think after a couple months of the towel wrap trick.

i got a ps3 and its good for alot. i use it to catch a media server from my computer so i can listen to music and watch movies with out having to put it on the hardrive. plus when high graphic games come out they will look better on ps3 cuz it can display at 1080p which xbox cant. not to mention god of war 3 and gran turismo 5 muahahahha

Actually only the older xboxes only go to 1080i all the new ones go to 1080p. My 360 elite go to 1080p. xbox online is much more stable than ps3 i have heard of a lot of lagging in ps3 online. Not only that it seems like PS wont update their online gaming so when people find glitches like in COD they never fix them and people are going around the map flying and they wont patch it.. but anyways. its a personal preference. I just beat COD MW2 this morning on hardened, i broke my right foot monday so i didnt have much else better to do lol.

PS3 online was laggy 2 years ago. I have all 3 systems in my house, PS3, 360, and Wii. PS3 owns the 360 in all aspects except available games. Go buy Assassins Creed 2 or Dragon Age and play them on both systems and tell me which is better. I gaurentee no matter how big a 360 fan you are you will be wow'd by the PS3.

It's Microsoft...what did you expect? Can't believe people put up with this and still keep buying. Imagine if you were just driving along in your car and for no reason whatsoever it just decided to lock up and the only way you could fix it was to get out and disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Or how bout if the manufacturer only supported your model for 5 years so that basically every 5 years you were forced to buy a new one? Would you keep buying it? Microsoft sucks PERIOD!

i find it weird why people are still loyal to the 360 even tho there was a 20% failure rate when they came out.

I find it weird why you are complaining about reliability on an rx7 forum, but to answer your question some people like it that the graphics look better game per game generally on the 360 and the ease of playing with friends.

WTF do you mean about reliability on a RX-7 forum? Just cause you can't keep your car running properly doesn't mean I can't.

I don't see rx7 on the list - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/773102/posts

Ease of playing with friends I'll agree with that, but Graphics are debatable... + they have a pretty high failure rate. 20%???

Actually my car runs great(even though mine is more of a challenge to do so then yours) but how many rx7 people on here are on there 2nd or 3rd motor? I bet its more than 20 percent. I also have never had a red ring of death so the same could be said to your comment "just cause you cant keep your xbox not red ringed doesnt mean I can't. "

Generally game per game comparisons the xbox has a slight better edge preference wise on graphics. I am not saying that the ps3 cant look better because it can but it doesn't. Most programmers dont take the time to do so. I have both and sadly the ps3 is more of a blu ray player, but this doesnt bother me because I hate its controller anyways. Here is one they failed twice to make equal to the 360 but there are many more if you want them.
