hehe remember what I said, cheap, powerful, and reliable ... pick only 2
You said you want a turbo (powerful), that isn't to expensive (cheap), and reliable... :P
Do you want the car as a daily driver? Have you rode in a turbo rx7 yet?
How much you looking to spend? There is a NICE (REALLY NICE NA) in Spokane for 4,500. Most likly could drop it down to 4000.
http://spokane.craigslist.org/car/443955484.html
Has an idle issue when it gets warm so means either vac leak or tps isnt set. Easy fix. 88k miles should last a good 40-60 k more for an NA.

lol, not exactly sure what I'm looking to spend, just starting to look around for now. No, haven't ridden in a turbo yet, looking for something close to a daily driver.
I looked at that car, and that is crazy nice. Funny how it's NA yet it has the turbo hood. And even I know that the idle issue is a reasonably simple one to fix .
Too bad it'll probably be gone before I decide on what I want.

...and that would be another whole mess of money. Like I said, I'm still just really looking around. I came to the realization today that my dad is going to take back his car eventually, leaving me with nothing, and having a car period has been extremely helpful. And he plus you all here have gotten me hooked on rotary engines, so i'd really like to stick with them.
But for now I will look, and keep my eye open for the perfect deal (if such a thing exists), and save money.

To me NOW (didn't used to be) the perfect deal would be finding a blown turbo car. Just decent shape, has a working tranny and rear end, but blown turbo engine. After researching and tearing apart engine, and getting ready to build my next engine, I can't believe how easy it is to rebuild one. If you found a blown turbo car (obviously) you wouldn't have to swap in all the stronger turbo parts, or worry about any ECUs/wiring. IF you want to do a little work (very little) find a blown t2 car, save up $1,500 for a GREAT rebuild and replacement parts, and you're off.
OR you can do the same a LOT cheaper with an NA, but eventually you will want to go turbo I think. Maybe not. Personally I will never go NA again, on any car, nor front wheel drive....
day dreaming in class the other day I came to the conclusion that any car that came with hub caps, or had the option for hub caps stock wasn't a car that would work for me.
here is a pretty good deal hella cheap, kinda an ugly car, and would take more work.... but just showing there are cars out there.

Personally I would just take the edu wiring harness tranny and rear end out of that one for cheap and put it in an NA ... rx7's are like puzzles, get the easy to find main corner pieces, and fill in the rest when you find em.

Im most likely just sad I don't have an s5. But I do have some s5 tail lights coming!

Yeah, I really do like the way the s5 looks, and I do hear it has good power. But I really like my left nut where it is. I'll figure it out eventually.
Oh, and remember remember the Fifth of November.

I love it, the market changes, so we adapt.
They can never be rid of us. We will be around forever. Or until wheels are obsolete, whichever comes first. But even then, more road for us

well currently I am on my 5th engine, but I now only own 6 (after adding these 2). One of the engines I had was borrowed from a friend. ( I didn't blow it I gave it back)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I need to go home and pick up my s5 tail lights.... and I REALLY want to drive the FD before the weather gets bad..... I will call you and let cha know. How are things going? Not going to lisence the FD any time soon? Chris got his engine all done, just has to put it in. Trevor is 1/2 way through his s5 auto to manual swap, and rob is tinkering with his 7. I think he is working on other cars right now though. I personally have some MAJOR projects in the making.....
I'm starting to feel like a young jenkin... I have my main red FC, my blown black t2 parts car, and soon I will have a blown s4 at home. I dont know why.... I just ..... bought it.... I so should start using your s4's you want to get rid of instead of bringing more into this city!
anyways I will let you know if I am in town for sure! BUT I doubt I will be in yakima in the next few days.
A couple week vacation eh! seeeee what you can do when you stop buying rx7 parts! vacations! haha seems as though I got your bug now though.
Keep me up to date on whats going on, and btw you are REQUIRED to go drifting with me next drifting season!
Cya bud, have a good trip if I cant make it 2 yakima.

I have no clue If you are really interested I'm sure I could definitly find a blown s4, rebuild it with all my parts, and have a good solid running one for ya for pretty cheap. I think that I would have to have the mind set of doing it for you, or else I would keep it for myself as a spare car.
Do you really want one right now now? because it is getting to be winter.... pullman .. hills... snow/ice .... O.o just saying...

I found a local drift club ( basically located in spokane ) I helped install a 240sx sunday ... wow it is a big sucker... O.o He is going KA-T, should be fun.
If anybody is interested in a 2003 audi 1.8T (turbo) awd let me know. My friend bought the car and then found out that she couldn't afford the payments... she is selling it for 15000 OBO.
