Warning, Lakewood Wa.

There is a car audio shop in Lakewood Wa. that was busted yesterday for making copies of car keys on any car that came into thier shop that they wanted to steal. They were all arrested but it doesn't mean they don't have friends doing the same ****....Beware of who works on your car !

i said VERY not very lol HUGE difference... I usually supervise everything that is done to my car if I'm not doing the work so I trust those people, knowing that if they screw up they're gonna fix it. It worked really well with my alrm system =)

WE had an employee that my dad had known for 33 years, my dad even trained him when he first became a manager back in 1973, then he started his own business and we bailed him out when he almost went bankrupt, he sold it off and worked for us for 20 years as a manger of one of our offices. He got arrested by the FBI not long ago for stealing over 2 million dollars in fuel, luckily it was unrelated to us nor affected us except having to hire a new manager but even the people you know the best can surprise you.

It's nice of him for not stealing from your company, isn't it?

I had a friend in stocktan california that had glass stolen from her car at the car shop. They offered to help her out buy shopping for replacement glass which they would bill her for... She reported it to the police and they suggested she high tail it out of there. It is a practice the police was very familiar with. I am sure the nw will see its day.

When I live in CA, the audio shop I worked with would of course have you address. They would wait a month or so and come an steal your stuff. If they put in an alarm, they had the code to disarm it. They also knew exactly what you have and how it is installed. Being a mechanic now, they can do the same thing. When possible work on your own. Smaller shops can really take you for a ride if you are not carefull. I dont worry too much about a dealer coming and stealing my car. Besides good luck not getting caught where I live.

A quick note not having to do with theft, but to do with quality of work... Small shops tend to have people who DON'T know what they are doing. My friend's GF's car had a ground wire secured by a screw that was threaded thru the car and into the gas tank throwing all sort of codes!! They deny they put it there and so nothing can be done but to patch the tank at her own expense. Also, their install was so bad that nothing worked properly and many amps were blown due to bad wiring and a bad RCA
