A 'trying to run down' thread...
...regarding the "honorable" Greg Sadloski formerly of Spokane, Washington. It's been an on again/off again "pursuit" over the years on a bad transaction and I'm curious as to who might know the guy now and why he's still "running"? This, of course, is over money never returned and you may recognize him better as GregS.
I'm asking because Greg had indicated in the last two exchanges that he was a "different man" and then this happened tonight when I hit "Send" at 7:33 PM.
mar3rx7: Hullo, Greg, it's Mario again....any chance we can conclude our years long dance on the $55 tonight....?
gregs1981 signed off at 7:36:29 PM.
Geez.

AIM messenger...you can see the "typing" going on...then it signed off. He's been "offline" all day today...I'm on vacation so I've been keeping an open window for AIM to see when he checks in.

Welp, AIM says he's online now, he's not idle, so I sent this at 1404 hrs CDT:
mar3rx7: Greg, this is Mario....can we please conclude the business on the $55 owed from many years past? You told me last year things had changed and you couldn't believe all the things you did in your past but that was over and you were going to make things right. The PayPal ID is mar3njeana@juno.com . Can we finally get this over with, Sir?
..still waiting...1408 hrs.......probably finishing his "conversation' with someone else before signing off but let's see what happens next...
ok, we have contact.

I'm wondering...after going back and forth for a while, he said he'd pay by MO on Payday. That was last month. I check into AIM once a week, send him a message because it shows him "online" and no response at all since the 14th and 15th of last month when he asked for a "reminder".
What I'd like to do now is get someone who has PayPal to actually meet him and collect the money in person. Keep $10 for your troubles and then PayPal me $45 as a "gift" or "service" so no one gets tagged with a steep fee.
Anybody got tags on GregS...?

I'm a good friend of Greg's and he's been nothing but reliable with me through the years. I've done thousands of dollars wirth of transactions with him and never been hustled. I talked to Greg today and he said he totaly forgot about the part considering it's been about 5 years since you've even talked to him, he's not even on these boards anymore. He said he'll mail you out a money order on Friday.

Well, I've followed you since you joined RX-7 Club, so I trust you've got the process started. This story goes way back, involves Greg, then the Code Blue folk, an AC compressor and is quite crazy...every year, I try AIM or try to figure out his latest SN on RX-7 CLub and hit him up on that...anyone remember 'rotary sex'? I'm just very patient...when I tried AIM this year, I found him active again and started the process all over again.
Thanks for the help, Mario III

I dont even know what you are talking about, AC Compressor ? for one i would never sell something like that. I would just throw it in the trash.
What ever transactions you and Greg made is up to you and him to solve.
i dont like my name being brought up in stuff in not even involved with.
Thank you

If that's Deena, I still have the PM's... Nope, it's not after a little INQ.....there's like three "code blue" variations, so calm, down, maihn...you're acting all guilty......I was under the impression there was some clique of rotorheads in Washington state that all hung out under the Code Blue banner.
Nothing in the mail so far.

I was pretty upset at Greg for it, but as a person Greg has really grown up.
No one hangs out with us under any banner. Were just a family of (4) that have 7s along with a few great friends, so don't assume this is our problem in getting $55 out of us....when its been years, and a problem between you and Greg.

Reading my earlier post, I can see why y'all are so defensive...to be clear, the Code Blue crowd had nothing to do with the bad deal...Deena was a great middle person but she was hampered by how much money she could get out of GregS to pay the people. My amount owed was far less than others, so I kinda fell out of the bottom as far as priorities go before Greg left their area altogether for Tacoma, I believe. I sent the compressor back to Deena, as agreed, but never saw any money come my way after that...and so the story continues.

How long should I have to wait this time? Please get the money directly from him, if possible, and then we can PayPal this to conclusion. I've been on AIM a couple of times and no response...the last two times this week and the past, he's no longer even online.
Patience, as they say, is a Virtue. I just want my money back.

OMG how long has it been. I would call it a loss, and a lesson.
I mean after 4 years, I don't think Greg's gonna pay you back. Dee did what she could to help you. And I'm not the type of person that pays others peoples debt for them.

I didn't expect you to and that isn't what I was asking for in the first post.
When you try contacting a guy for 5 consecutive years and he finally responds saying he's going to pay you back and then someone else drops in and says the check will be going out...you kinda think something's going to happen. That Greg really did go respectable.
If someone had your $55, you'd just let it go, huh?
Makes no sense...

Gee, I wouldn't call that five years, look at the time stamps...good thing the guys fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan don't have your poor attitude, bub. How about the IRS...figure that if it's past 5 years, you shouldn't have to pay them either? Sweet Jesus Christ, give me strength here...

i gotta say this is kinda funny. i can see where you're comming from.....kinda. i caqn really see where everyone else is coming from also. persistance is good. although it should have been more back when it happened. i know the person your talking about. as a matter of fact, i gave him a radiator about 4 years ago for $40. guess what????? i never saw the money. whoopdie doooooo. i just never dealt with him with money again unless it was in my hand. he is a good guy. but i'm not going to go whine about it. you will probably never see any money...............obviously. but you neber know if you stay persistant. good luck.

Believe me, there was a LOT of persistence in the weeks, months and half year that followed the debacle. The clearest way to look at is this...this wasn't PayPal...I sent cash. He sent the wrong part after I posted pictures in PM's of exactly what I was looking for. "The others" got involved since they were Mods and GregS was disgracing their "crew"....I sent the bad part back to "the others", so now GregS had my cash and his AC compressor back.
Now, cash is forever, right? He's got my cash. I want it back. I didn't sell a part I had lying around. I sent him CASH. Like I was saying before, I'm now to the point of paying someone to get my cash since I don't foresee heading to Tacoma anytime soon.
"Good" guys don't tell you one thing and then do another..."good" guys don't tell their "good" friends that they're sending the money order off when they don't plan to...they don't lie to their "good" friends. Was GregS serious about having changed or matured? The jury is out but it's sad to note he is, once again, staying off AIM.
So, who wants to make some money?
