SCCA Autocross Weekend, Sept 6th and 7th
This weekend is the huge double/double SCCA Autocross weekend at PIR. Two races Saturday and two on Sunday (AM/PM groups). Same course all day but different courses Saturday vs. Sunday. I will be there, and it should be in the FB (with the crunched door!). Stock and Street classes run the PM run groups, but are welcome in the mornings too. Who else is going?

It's OK, I just bought a set of Falken Rt-615's to go on the 14's so I'm all set
Just got back from the clutch break-in test drive, it works soooo much better! Things are coming together nicely

Well, my clutch is slipping now, so I may not be able to do this event. The changes I made to the new WG I got has made the boost come on so fast that the clutch can't keep up.
Michael,
I will still show up Saturday if you still want to do the shoot and interview.

Come down anyways Adam, I'd love to do the shoot. Turn down the boost and you may get by, just launch easy, be nice going into 2nd, and leave it in 2nd the whole time. I've been doing that all season with my bum clutch, though now it's a new good one so I'm ready to rock.
New tires too!

I still have slipping at 12psi, will go to 10psi tonight to see if it still slips. If it doesn't I'll competing tomorrow. Big drop in power, but oh well. Jared, you better beat me this time.

You missed out the Alfa Romeo Club's PIR autocross Josh, it was TORTURE! It had no "flow" whatsoever, just 7-8 random technicalities linked by too-tight slaloms. I set my fastest time in the 'Vic by plowing the entire last slalom and taking the penalties, it was actually faster then running through the slalom! Horrible, stupid course and they ran it like idiots ($30 for a whole 4 runs and no competition, lame) everything was late.

Josh,
Sorry I didn't come Sunday morning, I forgot I promised to help a friend move today. Next AutoX I will co-drive with you or you can co drive in my car. Hope the course opened up compared to that Miata course Saturday.

well the course was a lot more open, and i ended up doing worse (compared to cars i was beating yesterday). it was all oversteer, all over.
seems my setup, or maybe just my driving style, is better suited to tighter more technical courses. i have run staggered tires the entire time i've owned the car, so it could very well be me.

It was a VERY open course! I still kicked butt though (I beat a Boxter, another STS2 Miata, and the lady driving the Z06, and all 3 Mustangs, and the Camaro Z28 LS1).
Two weeks (Sunday the 21st) is the next ORPCA Auto-X. Then maybe Packwood in October?

It was open and fast. I only got beat by 2 or 3 drivers all day, IIRC.
