Pineapple Racing swap meet and BBQ -- Sunday, Sept 17th
Mark your calendars. Pineapple Racing is hosting a Swap Meet and Barbeque on Sunday, September 17th, 2006. This is at our shop, located at 12838 NE Airport Way, in Portland. There is a map on our web site. Our front door faces Airport Way. We don't have a big sign or anything, but look for us next to Gasket Specialties. This is the South side of the street, directly across from Horsepower Freaks.
Bring you excess car parts, if you have any, or just come to find some bargains. Tables, chairs and perhaps even EZ Up tents are a good idea, depending on the weather. We will provide food, water and soft drinks.
Pineapple Racing will have quite a collection of engine and other parts available at clearance pricing. We have a lot of junk other people might like to have. Some is okay to use while some stuff is more fit for a display. Not only do we have several pallets of used rotor housings (many pretty trashed, but a few gems too), but also things like an old MoTeC EFI system, a couple IDA-style throttle bodies, Rotary-to-VW Transaxle adaptor, some used and new engines (rotary and piston), old PC laptops with tuning software installed, yadda yadda.
All we ask is that you behave appropriately (e.g. no burnouts in the parking lot, etc.) and have a good time.

Ferris proof? NO!!! And please don't come to the swap meet...the lightning bolt trying to hit you might miss and hit me! Seriously, just get the motor pulled so we can look inside, fix the damage and get you back on the track. I am curious whether it pinged or inhailed something.

I got some good stuff if Spyder doesn't decide to buy it. All FD Parts by the way.
Farris got a shyte load of FC parts he doesn't need, you might want him to come Blake. Just don't ground yourself to anything and wear extra thick rubber shoes, hehe.

I actually just picked up turboJeff's old stock of FD parts and will be bringing them to the meet. I've got nuts, bolts, interior/exterior trim, piping, clamps, hoses, a door, door glass, motors, calipers, brackets, braces, solenoids, yada yada yada. A whole u-haul worth.
I'm going to go through it all and post some inventory later.
Regards,
Justin Wade

At the RPNW.ORG meeting last night someone asked me when the swap meet starts. I suggested 10am, but you can come anytime after that since it will last all day. Someone else asked if they could bring their own stuff to sell...um, yeah, it's a SWAP MEET; not a sale. Bring anything rotary-related you want to sell or trade (within reason). There should be a lot of good stuff.

I don't know when it will end. I really don't want to spend more than 8 hours at the shop on a weekend, since I already spend countless hours here during the week. But, if enough people stick around and use their time productively (not just hanging out, but actually buying, selling and trading), then who knows how long we will be here. Probably no later than 6pm, but that's just a guess.

The weather forecast for Sunday looks good. High 60s/low 70s, overcast, but apparently dry at last report.
For those of you who have not been to our shop, here are the directions: We are mid-way between NE 122nd and 138th on the south-side of Airport Way, next to a business called Gasket Specialties (look for the sign) and directly across the street from Horsepower Freaks. Our building faces Airport way. The swap meet will be held on the back-side of the building, where we have a surface roll-up door and lots of room.

Scratch that, its sitting in storage in corvallis and I'm sitting in portland. Sorry!
I've got cash for a good 3 inch SS exhaust, FMIC for a s4 t2 and I'm looking for a FD. Someone bring them!

Just a final reminder that we are asking everyone to behave responsibly inside our business complex...that means no burnouts, loud stereos, etc. While many of the other businesses will be closed, some may need access to their loading docks or parking for their employees and customers. If you park somewhere that is not obviously okay, please leave a note on your dash with your cell phone number so they can call if there is a problem. We don't want to **** off our neighbors.
I have NO idea how many people are coming. It may be a handfull or it could be half the rotor-heads in the northwest. Hopefully, just enough to make it interesting but not so many that it becomes a headache. Feel free to show up as early as 10am, but I figure things won't really get rolling until 11 o'clock or even noon. The weather is supposed to get nicer as the day progresses.
