Hey Gambone, can we borrow your engine stand to hook this puppy up to so we can do a compression test?

Bob the automatic uses a motor side mounted starter . We may be able to just bolt it on and throw the tester on.
First and formost, the MMO bath needs to come.
Things we found on that car:
HKS air filter
Ultra Plug wires
Cleaned?New? Secondary injectors.
Oil in the charge pipes .
Stock ecu.
Coolant mess It was brown and full of crap .

I think it would be kick *** to actually have a complete eunos cosmo and do the manual tranny swap. Just my opinion though.

One came from North Carolina, one came from LA.

Each was a tad less than $5k shipped here. Plus I spent another grand for the trailer to haul them from my shop to Spyder's.

Another $1500 for one ems. Plus lot's more; like the car(s) they go into, fuel pumps, sway bars, engine mounts, etc., etc.

Steve,

I'm going up there this weekend. What's your schedule look like to do a compression test and hook up the engine/stand?

Spyder,

What's good for you this weekend? We need to work around Steve's schedule, because he has the engine stand and compression tester.

Bob

Bob, saturday I am pretty busy after 3pm. Before then is fine.
I tossed the auto starter on and got it to crank over. I soaked each chamber with WD40 and then just tried turning it by hand.... nothing-puff-puff. Through my piston tester on there 20-97-75.

So if we left at 1:30 and got at Spyder's at 2:30, we would have a half an hour to do our business. That's cutting it pretty thin.
