New shop: Elvidge Unlimited
My buddy just opened up shop finally in Redmond across from Speedware's warehouse. He's starting to offer swaps, street tuning, wiring jobs, tune-ups and everything else. Also gets great deals on electronics and cellphones and has a sticker cutter for any of your vinyl/sticker needs. We're still getting everything put together but so far have done an STi swap into a Forester and have various other projects coming in soon. I'm usually helping out around the shop whenever I'm off work so you can either give him or me a call and let us know what you would need done.
He's going to start offering 13b rebuilds for very reasonable pricing soon after everything gets put together.
Owner's name is Michael Elvidge and his business number is 206-913-1208 and my number is 206-354-9623
Once he gets his lifts put in we will be having a multi-forum barbeque as a kind of meet and greet to welcome his shop to the area.

No offense, but after seeing some of the questions he was posting on FB with that STi swap into the Forester, Im not sure how I feel. You have to know what you're getting into before you start something like that (from someone who has a version 8 JDM STi engine and 07 USDM STi trans/drivetrain I swapped into my WRX). I also had him checking on phone pricing for me, but didnt hear back from him for weeks when he said to "give him a couple days".
If he can overcome those issues, which I hope he can, then hopefully things might take off for him. Id still like to come to the BBQ and see whats going on though, Im willing to give people second chances

He's a busy guy, sometimes even his friends have a hard time getting a hold of him since he loses track of time quite often when working. I honestly remember last time we went out to a Subaru meet (two mondays ago) he was saying a guy named TJ wanted a phone but wasn't sure if he ever came to meets so he didn't know how to stay in contact with you. If you PM me your number I can look up some prices for you and see what he's got in stock.
As for the STi, we worked through those few problems and everything is working fantastically, he just ran into a couple snags which happens with almost every build. He knew very well what he was getting himself into just wasn't sure about a few electrical issues. Should have a few swapped Subie's coming in very soon to get work done.

I haven't been to a Woodinville Monday night meet (assuming thats what you went to, link in sig) in FOREVER. I really need to get back out to them more often. I was looking for a phone a while back, but Im intrigued by the new dual core stuff thats coming out, unless he has a line on that stuff too? Specifically the G2x right now...
As for keeping in touch, we had been communicating through messages on FB, so Im not sure how/why that changed.
I didnt mean to "rain on the parade" with just a few poorly worded observations. I wish him the best of luck and hope my first impression wasnt a true impression of his business practices or work, haha.

No I understand what you're saying completely, that's why I didn't come at you with any hostility or anything lol. He did that swap by himself with the exception of our buddy who is a Subaru tuner helped him merge the harnesses together. It's his business plain and simple, I help out with whatever he needs done as well as a few others that will come lend a hand but he's very good at taking care of things himself.
I just got off work and brought that stuff to his attention though TJ so he'll probably talk to you soon. As for having his hand in stuff like that, we could definitely see what he can get. You can talk to me about it as well because I see him usually every day or so.
Once the shop doesn't look like **** and everything is presentable we will be throwing that BBQ. No need to unveil something that's not close to being finished, but like I said, I'll keep everybody updated.

No, I was more put off by their attitude and the way they spoke to me. Their stickers were the most important thing in the world, and they could not put their scissors down for 1 second to shake my hand and say hi welcome to the shop, what can we help you with in the future. I had to force conversation just to find out what was going on.
I hope everything changes when they get their shop together and everything chills out. They are pretty close to me.

Heard you kind of caught them off guard and had no idea why you were there haha. Like I said, once everything is put together and he's prepared to have people just walking in we'll have that BBQ

For the guy only owning that place for a month i was pretty damn impressed at how much work he had done there. Painted the entire place, built a bunch of work benches, set up his own office.. when i got there he was doing a heatercore in a crown vic for some kid for $100. Like seriously!? Thats crazy cheap. Kid got in, heat worked, he paid $100 and left happy as ****. I give this place a can't wait until its finished and ready to do work!
