man, that was a blast. sorry you got too lost. kris made it there. we waited cause i knew he would be there. then we waited for you.......... but anyways it was fun. 3 8's me, 1 vr-4. was little but a blast. the road was closed at one point so we made a new route. nothing funner than doing 110 in a 25. almost ran over 5 mothers with kids. but thats another story. actually ran one person off the road cause i passed him on a 20mph corner and scared the crap out of him. that was funny. wish i had the camera and cought the face as he went into the embankment. my son had a blast, except he wanted to do donuts. you all missed a great drive. too bad you missed it. see you next time.

Lots of fun. That's just what I needed. Karma, the address from google was wrong any way. Once I got to the address it indicated, I just started spiralling out from there. Then I saw the mall, and started circling that until I found the Krispy Kreme. I think we'll have to let locals post directions instead of my running off to google in the future. It's right next to the freeway. Doh!

Hey, on another note. Those who don't have 2-way radios, pick one up. They're less than $30 (I got a set of 2 for like $45 at Target) and if everyone brings them, it makes communicating on the drive alot easier. It also helps break up the monotony when we're all trapped behind a slow-poke. Just a thought. When I first started doing these drives back in '02 we all carried 2-ways and it was blast.

Lots of fun, guys. That's just what I needed. Although, after hitting my head in that BIG wow on Skate Creek Rd, I've still got a head-ache tonight. I need to find a safe way to lock down the seat belt before starting down these roads.

I guess I got grumpy and frusterated then decided to go home since I couldn't find the place after an hour and staring at your map trying to figure out where the heck we where. I did eventually run in to the mall, got out and looked around for the store just in case but didn't see anything so I figured maybe if I just hopped on some random road good karma would find me and lead me there but I must have left it in my jeans that day. Ahwell, there's always next time.

  • 110 in a 25.
  • almost ran over 5 mothers with kids.
  • actually ran one person off the road cause i passed him on a 20mph corner
Driving like that, and calling it 'fun'? I'm very glad I wasn't able to make this drive...and seriously have 2nd thoughts about ANY drives with drivers like this in the group.

Kettlman's probably the most insane out of all of us (Although CodeBlue's up there. ) and just because he drives aggressively doesn't mean you have to. I tend to hang back and take things at my own pace while keeping the others in my view so I don't lose them; and others tend to do the same. The thing to remember is that you can't control what other people do and the concequences are theirs to pay. Just a little zen philosophy I've learned to adapt in my life. I'm not saying kettlman is right or wrong for driving the way he did/does, but it's his choice, not yours. There might have also been other factors in all of these that aren't just the driving techniques of one person so I wouldn't really be so quick to judge.

Sorry for turning this in to another episode of "As the rotor turns..." but I had to throw in my $0.02.

that was thrown in there as a laugh towards someone else. 110 in a 25 is a hypothetical equation. maybe 110 in a 35 now as for the other parts...... well that was just flat out lying! we were hittin some nice 25-35 corners around 60-70. but it was in BFE. only cars were those in front doin the same. haveing a nice pleasurable drive. i meant to mention this earlier but nobody paid attention to it so i just let it be. but i will admit i do get a little aggressive when driving, but only if the situation is acceptable and others are wanting the same.
