Groundzero Dynotuning Specialists
Groundzero Motorsports has special rates for winter, using the most advanced
dyno tools available. We are charging $150 first hour and $125 each hour after.
This includes monitoring, AFR with a Horiba wideband, measuring fuel pressure,
[and or drop under boost] clutch slippeage, [ how much and what rpm]
with a full eddy current dyno, 2wheel or 4wheel drive.
Our dyno is set up for diagnosis as well as HP tuning, with some of the custom
software we have.
Most cars only take one to three hous no matter what boost and fuel
that is run, as long as there are no other mechanical problems.

Yeah!! This is the place to go if you want to get ripped off by a bunch of hacks that dont know $hit.... if you want your car tuned by someone who is honest and wont rip you off do a search for steve kan's tuning day coming up this month to the NW.

Ralph, I'm in the process of finishing up my Meth injection, and freshening up my old motor. Once everything is buttoned up, (And I get some time off work.) I need to talk to you. Would running C-116 and meth be worth while at around 23-25psi, or could I get away with pump fuel at that boost level? Thanks, CJ

Ahh yes....don't know $hit. A Nearly 700rwhp daily driven FD, 1000+rwhp Supras, big hp vettes, hondas, BMWs......I mean, it is really common to see cars like this running around. Seth, when you say stuff like this all it does is make you look like a idiot. I'm also sure Steve Kan appreciates this type of publicity.

I dont want to comment on the work GZ does. All I have to say is I have had to deal with the aftermath and clean up for several local FD owners. They are a good shop, Rob at pinapple agrees, but I am not impressed with what I have seen...

yeah that my older twin with the RX7, I own a MR2 but I do all my own work so I guess I dont count because I dont pay people to not do things the correctly.
having worked at a tuning shop in the past (4 years) I can say that from what happed to us/my brother I was disappointed with the quality and professionalism of their work. Ralf is a cool guy and I have no issues with him. again too you have to figure that with any place you have both good and bad experiences but it's how they deal with their bad experiences is what turned me off to them.
If your not capable of doing your own work then by all means pay someone to do it for you but dont make assumptions on things you arent aware of.

I tune a lot of the RX7s i the northwest with few problems. Sorry about your experience. We have replaced a few key people so our shop has changed.
I put this thread in because I think we can tune and individuals car with no time
constraints on the dyno if other prblems pop up to be fixed. Also the tuning rates
can be adjusted per individual auto, like say we graph fuel pressure and it doesnt keep up, you can fix your car and bring it back and not wait for somebody to
fly back in.
Most of the time we will fix problems on the car as we go, plugs, boost problems
etc and I have never charged over approx $375 for the last 10 years for FDs.
no matter what the boost. Ralph

Ill come down and see you soon Ralph, I need to juice up the FD a bit...
I have delt with GZ and Ralph a lot and they are a great group of guys. Our shop doesn't do much rotory work, so Ralph is where I would turn for help with my FD for sure !

From what I hear + from pineappleracing Ralph has a wealth of knowledge not to mention been around the Rotary engine a long time compared to others. I'll be planning on getting my car tuned with Ralph in the near future.

Our experience with GZ and Ralph in particular have been nothing but positive. He is an honest person and an experienced tuner. Of all the dyno shops in town, he is the one we deal with regularly.
Dyno tuning, like engine building, can sometimes be a no-win situation when it comes to customer service. All you can control is what YOU do but you can easily find yourself the fall-guy when things other people do cause problems. I'm not saying Ralph is perfect (neither are we, nor anyone else for that matter) but he is better than many people seem to think. What Ralph lacks is in the department of self-promotion and spin-control.

The side effects of the cuncussion is killing me. CJ I am going to go E85 on my rx7 in the next couple of weeks, if it works out like our other cars in hp and torque increase, we might have to try it on yours. Ralph

Whats up Ralph? Hows the neck feeling?
Just so you guys know, Steve Kan tuned my car a while ago, and while he did a decent job, he had it at 375 whp @14 psi. After taking the car to Ground Zero, Ralph had it at 392 whp @12 psi. And the car runs great! These guys do an awesome job!

Here's a bump...
Question for Ralph/Groundzero:
I've got my PowerFC kit from Banzai arriving in the mail next week. Rob built my engine so I figured it would be best to make the trip to GroundZero.
Has Ralph recovered enough from his injury to tune? I'll definately call when I get my car up and running again, but I'm hoping I could get it tuned within the next few weeks if possible...
Thanks,
Dave

Baseless? thet ripped me off for 2K and did a horrible job on my car, when i left it was worse off than when i brought it there.. So obviously you shouldnt be so quick to judge when you dont know **** ABOUT MY SITUATION...also i posted that 10/7/07. Did it take you 4 months to come up with a zinger or did just hop on the bandwaggon? Ralph just tunes, iv'e never seen him turn a wrench. and brian is just a sooped up secratary that doesn't wrench or tune...
