FM Tuning In spokane WA build gone wrong again haha!!!!

well i am rebuilding a customer car here in seattle wa i have been doing some builds for years now and i keep getting people coming from this guy JESSE who has a shop out of his garage called FM Tuning. i have yet to see a running motor come out of this shop. well i keep getting distressed customers that feel like they have been ripped off and they have been. i just got done tearing down a motor today built by them and this is what i found
* the rotor bearings were not pressed in far enough
*the apex seals were used and had a horrible edge on them like a razor it was put in backwards so just the very tip was touching the housing i have posted a example in the drawing.
* one coolant seal was pinched and coolant was leaking into the intake chamber
*and one housing is flaking on the edge in the combustion area
* the ports are ported in such a pointless way leaving all edges and obstructions.
* the exhaust was said to be a street port also lol well looks to me like it was touched once on the side and just left to be.
*The apex seals are also not shiny at all on the tips they are all dipped and corroded from id say rust.
* the rotors were put in the wrong way so the oil slings near the rotor bearing was not slinging any oil.
well i am just tired of this happening. people here in my town and i want everyone else to see what you think of all this. this motor was claimed to be a reliable turbo motor and it never did run for the poor guy. so here are some pics of this so called tuner shop and what they do out of their garage. they use all used parts and claim they are the ****.

Thanks for the heads up, I wonder if these people can get some sort of compensation for what has been done to the car...

hey fucktard, before you go running your **** trap, what is the story behind the motor? the only motor that i know has problems after a build by them, the owner insisted on re-using ALL the old parts. kinda funny they fixed a motor you fucked up a while ago, now you're spamming this ****? my motor was built by them, and the 1/2 bridge, supercharged motor runs fine. same with a few N/A and turbo motors around here. long story short, Nathan, history shows that you tend to be the shady one...

on a side note, if you're so god like in your builds, why are people from seattle coming all the way to spokane to get a build done?

We've been through this before and it RIPPED this section to threads. Hopefully we've learned from that.
We all know that there's more to these situations than "the motor was rebuilt. The motor died."
How much was the customer charged for the job?
Was the customer aware that is was a six port motor?
Did the customer pay for all new "high quality" parts?
Was the proper break in done?
Proper oil changes?
The list of questions goes on forever.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A QUALITY BUDGET REBUILD!!! The problem is nobody wants to spend three thousand dollars for a rebuild on such a simple motor, so they start trying to cut costs by reusing parts. This is a recipe for disaster if you ask me. The builder can only do what the customer is willing to pay for.

A quality builder won't do a poor quality build, EVER. If someone were paying me for my services, i want both my customer to be happy, and my reputation to be secured. Just because someone isn't willing to pay for my premium service, doesn't mean i should give them my premium product. If someone only wanted to pay me 1/4 of what i normally charge for photos, i would tell them to beat it. I have a reputation to uphold, and i won't produce A grade quality for D prices. If they want budget, take your **** to the mall.

I don't know the whole story, but i know anyone offering "rebuild services" should be reputable enough not to put **** back together the wrong way. Theres too many backyard mechanics in the rotary world that THINK they can rebuild **** because they read forums. It brings this community down more and more everytime someone steps into the light doing shady practices like this, and reminds others why QUALITY rotary rebuilds by QUALITY shops cost as much as they do.
You get what you pay for, lesson learned.
Hopefully this customer learned their lesson about how the real world works.

Because the ip address comes back, at best, as your neighbor. Somehow the original poster of this thread, who is in Seattle, is posting from the city of Spokane Valley. Very curious.

ofnarx7, I'd like to see a photo of you holding up a copy of todays Seattle times, in front of an obvious Seattle landmark.

Funny how easy it is to get caught. I also did a IP check on a couple names, and it returned coming from Spokane, WA, not Seattle.

Sad because your mad at someone, that you have to try to bash them as you have.

Jesse is aware of this and will be posting a bit later

hey everyone. i am the owner of this block displayed. the "real" truth behind all this is that i had requested that the block be assembled using parts from two different used engines i had brought to fm tuning. the intake was ported but roughly done. i was told the exhaust ports had a mild port on them also. when i had the block disassembled it was brought to my attention the apex seals were placed in backwards, thus flattening the top. another problem i noticed was that there was a pinched seal on the iron. this caused the engine to smoke like crazy. my car did run but only when pull started, and very poorly. i will say nathan hasent had jack squat to do with my car since i got the new engine, so no liability is on him for any part of this new engine. i have tried to contact fm tuning regarding this with no response. frankly i could care less about the drama between everyone, i just wanted a properly assembled good running engine which i did not get. so congrats to all who have had success with fm tuning, s

whats with all the drama, cant we all just get along, lol. i have been through a similar situation with a former shop in my area, zellers automotive, well those guys were joke had i known that before i would hav never taken my dsm there, basically long story short i paid 3k for a factory rebuild on my engine and it dropped cylinder #3 10k miles later. i believe it is also customer responsibility to research a shop before you shell out serious cash, my 2 cents. much like zellers if these guys continue to do shitty work they will not be in buisness much longer

I think what it comes down to is that "These guys" didn't do that kind of work. The person who started this thread is not who he claims to be, and is just trying to hurt somebody elses business with this slanderous garbage. The ip address is not a seattle ip. It's a spokane ip address. Basically, ofnarx7 got caught red handed in a lie.

This entire thread should be deleted before any more unjust damage is done to an innocent persons business.

you know whats sad is when a guy comes from seattle to tear a motor down for a kid and finds all these things wrong and decides to post them while he is in town you automatically call him a liar well sorry that ( no name) i will not give his name, does not sit around replying to all the posts here. the fact is matt could not trust anyone else cuz HE GOT SCREWED BAD and the proof is above. so just stop acting like this motor does not exist cuz it does i have personally seen it. i have nothing againsed anyone on here but matt is my friend and i was not able to do his rebuild so i had a friend from seattle come into town and help him out since i have lots of other projects and i like to do rebuilds with all the right pieces. The purpose of this thread is to show pics of this situation that does not mean that all they do is **** work but if someone has made a mistake just learn from it thats all that does not mean that Fm tuning is a horrible place it just means that this piece of work went out their doors along with a piece of their reputation it happens to every buisness its part of life.. give the guy a chance to get back to seattle to post a freakin reply before you Blame **** on other people. and i will say this again i have NOTHING againsed anyone on here or in this town so get over it! i am only replying cuz for whatever reason i am to blame for someone elses mess up and i wont have that!!

its not pointless just stop trying to cover things up dude this is what happened and there is the proof for everyone else to see, not for you and your friends to say is fake just because your friends with them.. any real shop would answer the phone and try to make things right but here is a kid who spent all his cash on his car to get it fixed and just got ripped off and blew off. who cares about names and who is rebuilding it its not relevent at all. if you want to see the block and talk to matt just call him. no person should be ripped off ever and since the only thing he could do is either file a better buisness claim or just show what this motor looked like. this could have been solved by a simple phone call but nobody would man up

I'm really not trying to cover anything up. I'm also not disputing that those are real rotary engine parts, nor will I dispute that they look like hell.
I am, however, having trouble sifting through the whole story and differentiating between the truth and the lies.
When I tell everyone that my car is the fastest car in the universe, everyone knows that I'm lying, and it's no big deal. nobody gets hurt.

Now, if I post up on here that I'm from outer space, and in fact in outer space right now, and I know for a fact that your car is the slowest car in the universe, well, that's just hurtful. Then it comes down to me looking like an idiot when someone actually does a little homework and finds out that I'm not really from outer space. Now all of a sudden the whole story is unbelievable, even if your car IS the slowest car in the universe, because I started the whole story with a lie.
