fd tuning

Where's a good place to go to get an fd tuned anymore? I was planning on going to Groundzero, but they're gone. The only place I know of is Corksport. Has anyone had their's tuned there?

Forged is a great shop and the techs there helped work on ground zero's cars I think, but I have not seen any other work by them brotary wise.

I've got a Power FC with a datalogit if that makes any difference.

Check these links out! Read up on it and let me know if you have any questions. This is what I'm using right now, I tune a little every day and I don't have to pay someone for a one time tune that is only good for that days environmental conditions.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to get Chuck Westbrook's tuning notes.

Just search for him in the members list and PM him.

The notes are $45.00, come with some Excel tuning tools, and are well worth the money.

You also then get to join his tuning mailing list.

Unless you have a boatload of money to spend on tuning, there's a lot of fine tuning you can do yourself. Plus it doesn't hurt to have a better idea of how it all works.

The more I learn about it, the more I realize I don't know. The notes and tuning list are great resources.

With a little playing around, research, and patience, you can tune yourself. I'm not a pro at it, but I can tune my own car. I've tuned my own car to 15psi. What I'm not comfortable is playing with the timing maps at 20+psi.

Thank guys for all the help. I will for sre read those threads, and get those notes. I completely forgot about them. I'd read up on a bunch of that stuff when I first got my PFC, but that was a while ago, so I forgot. Thanks a ton, and I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

Be careful when using other peoples maps. Get a WB, datalogit, and take your time. I've seen some pretty crappy maps that have some crazy timing numbers. Be very careful!

My car is at forged performance right now. They have 4 other fds there. I talked to those guys and they seem really knowledgeable. They're currently tuning my car. It should be done tomorrow.

Just got it back. Ive been driving it around. Everything seems to work really well. They took it easy on the tuning cause my stock block has 49k on it. It however still put down 410whp on there mustang dyno. Really nice people.

Personally, i had steve do my car, and i had BDC. im not going to talk any ****. but i can tell you. BDC does a very thurough job. it took him 7 hours to work though my car. and his prices are more than fair. i do not know if he has worked much with the power fc. he is a stand up guy, if i get my car tuned again, it will be by BDC.
if you have any questions abou this work PM TweakGames. he was tuned at the same time as me, and i belive his feelings are the same.

I would like to have bdc tune my car. Not trying to talk **** either but I want a tuner that will take time on my car and communicate with me. I asked steve to tune my car to 14psi and he didnt which is fine but he didnt tell me that or why he didnt, I just noticed later on.

The power tune full throttle tune is great but the cruise tune/light throttle on and off is not that great.
