I think an Isuzu NPR truck. 5.2L diesel...... with a garrett T25, yeah.... I don't get it either. But the intercooler is cool! Do you have your stock FD radiator laying around? I am just borrowing that one I have for mock up then I have to give it back. Oh and I also need to buy a compression tube from you and Dan needs and FD upper. If you aint got the **** then i'll bother markie-poo ( oohh poppy-****!)

Rebuild!
Got a "brand new" motor from Jason via Jesse's moolla. Thanks Jesse, your alright.
We seperated it and have started working on building up this motor. Few changes will be done to improve the mods I done in the last motor. Should be good.
Oh, my engine bay is on page 57 of the Jan. 09 Super Street along with all the other sweet cars that were at Seven Stock this year.

Some funky build up in the coolant passages from storage, but other than that this motor is brand effin new.
Made a press die today to press out stockers and in comp bearings.
Measured the rotor weights and their within 8.5 grams from each other, 4363.5 grams and 4372 grams.

Is the engine in the car still running strong? You have one of the nicest most thought out builds on the forum...it is a shame your last engine went so prematurely. I hope this one didn't go quickly as well.

The engine that was in the car was a total loss. Ish happens, this one will be better and badder with refinements on the mods I did to the last motor.
Comp bearings pressed in. The rotors are now 4346.5 grams and 4356.5 grams, so a 10 gram split now.

Pushrods are a very good time!
I dont have the money to throw at the rotary like Adam does... If I did, I would still be rotary. But I wouldn't say that the rotary would make me any happier than the LS1/6 that is in the car now. It is a very good time!
Good luck on the next rotary. I will pay attention once again, as i have since the beginning.

Should be putting the motor back in the car tomorrow.
Also been working on a few things.
Gen 3 oil catch tank and a custom power steering tank. The PST filler neck is in the way of everything so a custom tank is in order. And doing a GB on the oil catch tanks.
Also did some baffling and trap doors for the oil pan. As well as adding a spacer the oil pickup to utilize for of the 7 quarts of oil in the oil pan.

BTW my thoughts are with a properly baffled oil pan a "catch can" won't be necessary since the oil slosh and subsequent oil creep out of the filler neck problem will go away. I haven't had a chance to track test my pan yet but so far hard launches on the street and some spirited cornering haven't so much as misted my can.

Interesting, I will remember that, thanks.
Well, yes and no. You still need to vent whatever pressure buildup in the oil pan from blowby and such. A smaller can is just needed now. I'm still going to run my Gen 2 catch can.
Motor and tranny are in and will be putting everything else back in in the next two weeks. Still waiting to hear from Sean at A-Spec on the 500R turbo. Let's hope Garrett makes another chra production run soon.
