I cut up the stock lines and silver brazed in -6AN male fittings. I had to bend up one of the lines, sucks, doesn't look all that good, but it will do the job.

Are you going to be running 2 BOV's? It looks like it.

Yep, one for good vacuum based throttle response and one for the turbo to prevent surge, which will be recirculated to the turbo inlet. A lot work to be done soon, will be seeing the headers and downpipe next week!

2. . . isnt the whole reason u bought a synapse pull type because u wanted throttle response n no surge . . .? so now ur gonna do 2 pull types?!?!?!? i is confused what the hell is the point of two if the one u have now does exactly what u want it to do?

You are correct, I bought he synapse pull type BOV to prevent surge and improve throttle response, but these items are only as efficient as where you place them in the system. The intercooler is a point of flow restriction. That’s why I have two BOV, mainly to skip the flow restriction and pressure pulsations caused by the IC. Granted these effects are minor, but everything else is overkill on my car, so why not the BOVs as well.

Also I would like to add that although the Synapse is claimed to eliminate surge, in their videos they installed one on an S2000 which was still surging with the synapse installed... So it's smart to run the secon bov. I was planning on doing the same when I upgrade to a single turbo running one on the hot side and one on the cold side of the ic. Each side of the ic has it's benefits, but the only real way to take advantage of those is to run one on each side.

Out of curiosity why have you decided to recirc the one near the turbo?

The discharge with be blown directly into the compressor to improve re-spool of the turbo, ala between shifts.

very interesting. . . that does make a lot of sense but if you place the bov closer to your throttle body it would techniquly become more efficent right? but idk if ud have the room. but i do like the idea of that, its definatly goin to be interesting to see and hear. n yah ur car is pretty fricken ridic now. . . what else could u possibly do besides a different motor and maybe custom valving on the coilovers? wait, dont answer that. i'll just wait till next week lol

Headers and downpipe came in yesterday. Space is going to be in short supply for everything, the endtanks on the IC will be interesting items to make. Need to modify some fittings and such, but so far making progress.

Peace

I'm going to do my best to make it; all depending if I can get it done and tuned. May use the track day as a tuning session, may **** off a few people if I did though. Yeah, I saw that they were holding a motorcycle session as well, itching bad to do that with my GSXR, but only can do one.

Thanks Herb, it looks like I will be taking up your offer for DGRR. What will be a good time to fly in on the Wednesday before we leave?

Making progress, got some of my electrical issues addressed and slowly but surely getting all the supporting accessories for the turbo in place.

The last two times were business trips, I just lucked out that my first trip was at the same time as DDGR07. This trip is on my own penny and time. The Tail of Dragon is worth it.

Too Late Again, you would be waitlisted if you do register though.

Well I didn't like how my water inlet line was turning out (too many bends) so I will be modifying the thermostat/water pump housing again and will be making a custom banjo to -6AN fitting for the turbo.

Over shooting a corner and digging into the soft dirt shoulder; going over the deep end; hitting a wall at the right angle, etc.. There's multiple ways. Video does not do that road justice, with all the undulations and elevation change.

Got the turbo water inlet routing the way I like it, just need to finish the job. Did a dry mock up of the downpipe to midpipe and it looks like I will need to change my midpipe routing, which is just a well since I'm putting in a new cat. And rerouting of wiring for the fans almost complete, just need to finish the oil cooler fan install.

Peace

Oil cooler fan in, did a little jerry-rig action at one of the munting tabs, but Houston say's it all good. Next up, weld EGT probe bungs in the headers, remove the stock fuel lines to braze in some -6AN fitting, start laying out the air box, IC arangement. At first I will be making the airbox and doucting out of aluminum, then remake them in CF once I get to that point next month.

EGT bungs in place and re-ceramic coated. The spray can type, not as good as professionally done, but it will still work.

Added a plate the oil injection pump head shield and Bobby wrapped it in the gold stuff. I added this to protect it from the headers.

Fuel system upgrades done, it was a bitch, but it's in. The external fuel filter will be difficult to get to like the original, but I like how it protected from the elements. So I compromised.

Next will be adding the new Cat and modifying the midpipe arrangement to mate up well with the catback and downpipe. Then start thinking in earnest on the IC/Air box arrangement.

Peace
