Driving school at Pacific Raceways Sept 9-10
I just thought I'd let everyone know that there's a BMWCCA/PCA driving school coming up on September 9-10 at Pacific Raceways just outside Seattle. You need to have taken their car control clinic, or have some other acceptable beginners course to be able to attend. My dad (turboed miata) I have our spots confirmed and I'd love to see some more RX-7's there. I've taken 2 BMWCCA driving schools at Spokane (run by a different chapter) and they were excellent.

Unfortunately there's no car control clinic untill November. Autocross experiance may be acceptable, if you've got some and are interested in going try emailing them.
There's a way around it though, sign up through the PCA, as it's a joint school. If you sign up with them then you don't have to have previous experiance, but they have a manditiry "Ground School" on the 7th, so that's why we didn't sign up with them, plus I'm already a BMWCCA member from the previous schools.

I contacted the PCA, and they said (Jana) that I have to own a Porsche to join the club. Now, while I USED to have a '92 968, I no longer have a Porsche, so I cant join.
As for the BSCC, they dont have any instructors at their 9/1 event, and so its not for Novices, and I cannot participate.
It looks like Im in trouble here, unless I can join the BMW club, but they may have the same rules as the PCA. I do have a friend who owns a BMW (and a new Lotus Elise..the bastard). The BMW club may have the same deal as the PCA, where when you join you can get a friend or family member signed up for free. Ill find out. Meanwhile, if anyone else has an idea how I can get in this, Id appreciate the info..Id really like to go :/

You don't need to have a BMW or drive one at the school to join the BMWCCA and go to the school. Neither my dad nor I have one, I'll be driving my FC and my dad will be in his 92 turboed Miata.

BSCC Does have instructors at their event, and if you have been around a bit you can run there. You just need to contact Dave or Larry and let them know what you have done in the past. They will generally work with you.
