Looking for anyone with experience with The Dark Side, tint and clear bra in north Seattle on Lake city way. Im considering using them for my tint and clear bra on my DD and they offer decent prices with lifetime warranty. Anyone ever use them? Or have a good story about any other local shops? Seattle and surrounding areas.

I have a friend that owns a tinting business but I know he doesn't do clear bra. And he works up north here... Could always trek up to see my mountain view and pick up the door handles while you get your windows tinted lol His prices are very reasonable. How much do they wanna charge you for a wagon?

Edit: He also uses Llumar tint which comes with a lifetime warranty and in my opinion is the best window film manufacturer

 

He will do tint removal, full tint and hood clear bra ( ventureshield) for 450... which IMO is awesome. Normally 300 for the tint and 200 for the bra. Accutint in bellevue wants 469 for tint and removal, and 299 for clear bra.

 

Yeah that's surprisingly low! Very competitive with my friend's pricing on the tint. Removal is usually where they get ya, but that sounds legit as long as they do a quality job removing all of the film and residue

 

Grae, the owner of that shop is a friend of a friend. He did my friends car. Great job from what I can tell.

Chris had his done at a great place as well. I am very impressed with their work.

Accutint is kind of the baller status shop, they do great work at great ( as in large) prices.... Ive been hearing some not great stories as of late about them though... for instance Chris had to take his coupe back 3 times for clear bra....

 

I've heard of some great prices and work done by a local tint shop in Bothell on Bothell Everett Hwy called Ice Tech Window Tint. This price is only guaranteed thru a local friend though so pm me if you want to do this. I don't know about the clear bra however.

There's a shop up here by me (Kent) that does badass work for fairly cheap.
Will even tint to illegal levels but will NOT provide a receipt for "legal" reasons.
I guess they usually do lowriders and SUV's but I had them do a few of my
cars. Nice guys, I'll have to dig up the shops name if anyones interested.

How do you know the above outfit Mai? Any idea what film they use?

 

btw what is the legal limit? i understood it to be 35% limit in washington. But does that also include the front and back glass? I was thinking getting a 25% door windows and 20% front and back

 

Ice Tech is a newer shop I believe. I only know them because they're pretty close to my house and a few friends have had their tint done there. I do not know the type of film they use. You can always call him up and ask, but I believe he will charge more if you book an appointment with him directly.

I do remember a shop telling me the legal tint limit was 35% for the front windows. The back windows can be darker.

 

I think i will be doing 5% ( limo) on the back 3 windows, then 20% on the front 4....

True limo is darker than 5 I'm still waiting on a quote from my friend that tints... He hasn't gotten back to me...

 

...... im told that the trustworthy film companies.. Lumar, Global ect... only go to 5%... But one tint guy told me that you could get 2.5% at....... Walmart. lol

 

lol YeaH 2.5% is very hard to find... I do know the shop Jeff used to work for for many years offered 2.5% for limousines only and they used Llumar film... But that was back in my HS days

 

Well, sounds like i will be doing clearbra from Ultimate auto skins next monday ( 23rd) as long as i dont get anymore chips before then.... The best part is, he will come and do it in my garage.

And for tint, we shall see... but sounds like Jeff might be able to help me out. IF i do the removal myself, then he wants 220. lifetime warranty with Lumar. Not really interested in driving to marysville though.........

They tinted my rex for under 120 w/o a receipt (see illegal tint job, heh)

Tint done, finally. A Volvo buddy hooked me up with a great deal and a great shop.

Aspen Tinting in the Belltown hood... Gentleman named Erik. Full removal, 5% on the 5 rear windows, 15% on the front 2... rollin dirty. The 855R is looking slick. Now its new name is the "wagousine"

I have appointment with window tinting 141, monday at 3pm. 175 .00 out the door..
